If wealth can be stored with a secret, and it requires no trusted central institutions to function, can this alone bring an end to theft, rape, assault and murder, gangs, mobs, cartels, armies and wars?
Theft: The money is more difficult to steal, but resources like jewelery, food, vehicles, land; these can be stolen.
Rape: The act itself cannot be prevented, but the mental health that leads men to these acts may be traced to generations of poverty
Assault: Most assaults are a result of conflict, and most conflicts are a result of limited resources.
Murder: Its a truly amazing feat of civilization that most people aren’t murdered at some point given how easy it is to do, and how much evil the average person is capable of. Can the money cure evil?
Gangs, mobs, cartels, armies: These are all essentially the same. It is a group of people organizing to defend wealth. A war is only defense on a massive scale.
Most conflicts are sold to the organization as a defensive action, even if its more economically advantageous to engage in an action than to not. Perhaps two powers need the resources of the other, or they want to gain the resources of a weaker third party. This boils down to theft of resources from a group of people, whether organized or not. Whoever has the upper hand prevails.
Can this be fixed by bitcoin?
Yes fiat money is a tool of organizations to steal resources to wage wars, exert power and to benefit the oligarchy, but does taking this power away eliminate their power?
If so, how?
