@npub1...409xg is that you?

This somewhat describes my situation. I do not have a bank account. I am banned from financial services. I, however, do not use Bitcoin. Sending me Bitcoin or receiving Bitcoin from me has been a way that a lot of people have had funds frozen and exchange accounts closed. Bitcoin is not fungible, and is therefore not a good medium of exchange for those that are targeted for political reasons by people that have control over the financial system. Bitcoin is actually worthless in that regard.

I want you to know, Wes, that I would have liked to keep using Bitcoin. Satoshi wanted for Bitcoin to be fungible via base layer ring signatures on the L1. He said explicitly of ledger privacy, “If a solution was found, a much better, easier, more convenient implementation of Bitcoin would be possible.” Exact quote:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770.msg8637#msg8637

He also describes a ring signatures scheme in the comments, which is the mechanism Monero uses for its privacy. Well, the solution has long been found and implemented in Monero. But Bitcoin Core is now captured by institutional subversives, Saylor and Blackrock, that say ledger privacy cannot be implemented because it will cause problems for institutional acquisitions. Even though fungibility is a basic property of money. The vast majority of small denomination bills have cocaine on them if carefully tested! They’ve all been a party to drug transactions in the past! I don’t like drug dealers, but Bitcoins that have been a party to a drug transaction can get your exchange account frozen. That’s not a fair or equitable system, and means that Bitcoin will be inherently less functional than fiat forever if it has a transparent ledger.

People that are actually deplatformed from financial services, like me (I am a real person, you can search my name and find me on wikipedia or whatever) do not use Bitcoin. Bitcoin is absolutely worthless for those of us who aren’t allowed to have bank accounts. Most of us exclusively use Monero, though I also like Tari. And I like the theory of Pirate Chain. But of these, only Monero is a real economy with liquidity.

These maxitards are all brain-dead. Your writings, though, are brilliant as always.

The Ledger is already public

That was a limitation because Satoshi was not familiar with the academic literature regarding ring signatures and zk proofs. But Satoshi, the creator of Bitcoin, advocated for the ledger to be made private. The ledger is only still private far past the solutions he desired not only being solved but actively implemented for a decade because Core is in the hands of corporate subversives.

demanding its use makes the world a better place.

This is not true. It essentially makes you a snitch. You are advocating for government surveillance and financial spyware, and enriching Saylor, Blackrock, and other state-supported adversaries. Demanding Bitcoin use given all that we know now is deranged. Only demanding the use of private ledgers, such as Monero, makes the world a better place.

#Bitcoin was designed for peer-to-peer transactions without central intermediaries. The exchange is just something that exists because its not used by everyone daily. Once general adoption starts the exchanges i imagine will still exist but not as much. There is this general belief that once a business accepts bitcoin in the future that might be the only currency they will want to use. (more a maximal view)

The Ledger is already public and not censored. If we had this transparency with our taxs things would change quick.

I think jerking off to math is a serious problem that would concern me. i am hoping you are just making it sound like people are getting a bit nuts on bitcoin and go way to far in a metaphor.

I am aware of the horrible way Coinbase limits during sharp rises in bitcoin and there attempts to control. Also aware of the government controlled gateways KYC that seem useless once someone creates a new wallet and or peer to peer transactions with different places. The biggest money fraud today is the money system thats why bitcoin exists.

You can buy to speculate bitcoin and when you feel its high dump to fiat but you are just a slave to the controlled debt system. Keeping it in Bitcoin and using it demanding its use makes the world a better place.

I personally do not know what will happen but I like this idea and support it!

If you run a real business with Bitcoin, and deal with a ton of people, most of them are going to do business with exchanges even if you don’t. There’s no way to bridge a transparent ledger to general society and the mainstream financial system without censorship, and the counterparties, even if they are not hostile to Bitcoin, are going to have to go buy some. “Don’t use exchanges, they are evil.” Is basically saying “I live in an autistic fantasy world and want to jerk off to math.”

If you haven’t ever heard of an exchange freezing Bitcoin deposits you live in a complete bubble. It’s extremely common. Coinbase is notorious for it.

Are you or should i say you where doing your bitcoin through a exchange. Because I do not see how on chain that would be a issue. People who Use the gateway #BTC exchanges (they are evil) and are part of the fall of #btc. The future looks good with #XBT.

So unless people wanted BTC from you and where on a exchange. ZI have never heard of freezing. ZI know that alot of banks froze account at the utter mention of bitcoin back in the day Zi hear its better now Zi never used the bank system
