The EU's War On Cash

Europe’s war on cash isn’t about stopping criminals, it’s about controlling citizens. Under the guise of fighting money laundering, the EU is banning cash transactions above €10,000, forcing ID checks for payments over €3,000, and laying the groundwork for a programmable digital euro, a system where every transaction is traceable, every citizen monitored, and privacy becomes a relic of the past.

The Golden Encirclement

We are living through the final act of a monetary drama that began in 1971. As the dollar’s empire strains under its own weight, a silent war is unfolding , not with bullets, but with bullion. China’s golden pincer is tightening around the global financial system, draining Western vaults and rewiring trade in yuan and gold, while Bitcoin hovers above the fray as a neutral force in the clash of empires. The Golden Encirclement unpacks how this tectonic shift could end dollar hegemony, reshape global power, and force humanity to choose between new monetary masters , or no masters at all.

Inalienable Property Rights

If speech and the free exercise thereof is sacred, then Bitcoin is sacred, because all that Bitcoin requires of you is to think and to speak.

Whitepaper Day Reflections: Bitcoin's Soulware Revolution

Bitcoin isn't just an exit from central banking's theft; it's an escape from nihilism itself. This isn't just about software. It's about soulware, humanity's quiet rebellion against a system that steals time, funds wars, and erodes the very fabric of honest living. History echoes on this date, and we're witnessing not just a monetary revolution, but a cultural renaissance that restores what fiat tried to erase: the possibility of building a better world without having it stolen from under you, one block at a time.

day seven: back to dublin

after a long night of limping and hunting for food in a half-closed town, i ended up in a locals-only pub, got adopted by a guy named kevin who kept handing me guinness, and then caught the early bus back to dublin. there, i slipped some of my dad’s and bill’s ashes into the crypt at st. michan’s, swapped my heavy pack for lighter gear, saw friends, and heard live trad music — and decided it was time to get my wrecked leg checked before pushing on.

day six: finishing the wicklow way

SERIES REPOST 2022: day six (~22 miles; ~103 total) hurt like hell — my left leg was blowing up, every step felt like a knife, and i still pushed to finish the wicklow way, score a secret pub pint, and get my completion certificate from an older couple who’ve been blessing hikers for decades. i limped into bunclody swollen, borderline broken, and made the call to bus back to dublin, drop weight, and face the fact that my body might be done, even if my head isn’t.

day five: one of rest

SERIES REPOST 2022: day five was tinahely: soaking wrecked legs, eating a full irish, and stumbling into this tiny wicklow village’s real heartbeat — a holy well tied to st. patrick where i left some of dad and bill’s ashes, and a rowdy pre-wedding pub night where strangers adopted me as “the yank.” i suppose i didn't rest much, yet i refilled everything that mattered.

day four: on the way to tinahely 🎶

SERIES REPOST 2022: day four (~21 miles; ~73 total) pushed me to my limit — no coffee, scarce water, and a grueling final descent into tinahely. between a fox at dawn, worms in my rainwater, and aching legs begging for mercy, i learned that sometimes survival looks like a hot soak, a burger, and a well-earned pint.

day three: glendalough to glenmalure

SERIES REPOST 2022: day three (~15 miles; ~52 total) was slower and social, then a crowded glendalough lunch before a long, less-scenic climb to an empty adirondack hut. i slept open to the night, visited by animals of varying sizes, and drifted off thinking about bill — his strength, the weight of what we couldn’t fix, and the small peace of some loving final words.

day two: a long one

SERIES REPOST 2022: two grueling days and nearly forty miles in, the weight of my pack—mr. osprey—felt heavier than ever. between endless climbs, slipping on trails, sharing laughs with fellow hikers, scattering ashes for dad and bill, and stumbling upon a heavenly campsite just in time, i learned that exhaustion, luck, and small kindnesses all travel the same road.

The 15 Minute Gulags

They promised you cleaner air and cozy cafés but what they’re building is a digital gulag. Beneath the glossy language of “sustainability” and “smart cities,” the 15-Minute City hides the final piece of a total control grid: a world where your movement, money, and identity are algorithmically policed. This essay rips apart the utopian veneer to reveal the dystopia underneath, where convenience becomes confinement, climate policy becomes population management, and the digital prison arrives not with sirens, but with a notification.
