The Money Box

This short story is born from a moment in time where two worlds collide.

The Physical and the Digital.

During the course of what one may describe as a typical family dinner.

Where young and old gather together sharing stories, celebrating and enjoying a meal.

This time a 2nd birthday.

An Aunt on one side of the family places a Ceramic Money Box at the centre of the dining table and announces that “…it’s as good a time as any to start the savings journey…” as she had herself experienced in the past.

To hear the sound of coins.

To observe the growth of wealth and opportunity.

To practice the idea, collecting from friends and family and perhaps being rewarded for doing the right thing.

It makes sense, to the extent that it’s what we’ve done in the past, it’s what we’ve known.

Saving Cash and Coins for future use.

But does it make sense today? Is it the best practice? Will we achieve the goals we set?

After all the Physical has been Devalued over Time.  In fact small denominations of Cash and Coins have been removed from Circulation. Does anyone have Cash and Coins to give?

The Year is 2026 and technology has evolved and continues to do so.

That Historical Practice is now a Metaphor.

There is an unprecedented opportunity to do what has never been done before.

To Store Energy for any Individual in Digital form for the Future.  Bitcoin.

And to explain this we can tell a story of the Past, what was known and what was done whilst demonstrating the New Story to Recognise and Realise this New Practise on this New Protocol.  Simultaneously encouraging others to Imitate.

After all the now 2 Year Old Child has been born into a time where a new Monetary System exists.

The Ceramic Money Box in the Physical world is now a Digital Square in the form of a QR Code representative of an address on a Mobile Phone. The Money Box.

The Aunt on the other side of the family in this story has Satoshis to give on the same occasion.

There are 100 Million Satoshis contained within 1 Bitcoin and there will only ever be 21 Million Bitcoin.

With the Tap of a Finger a number of Satoshis are Sent from Aunt to Nephew, from her Wallet to his, she doesn’t own them any more he does.

This is Savings in the New Monetary System and we are early.
