From busking in Stoke-on-Trent to supporting Sam Smith
When she was a teenager, musician Josie Oliver was performing in pubs and could regularly be seen busking in Stoke-on-Trent city centre.
Josie Oliver, a 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Staffordshire, has won the chance to open for Sam Smith at their upcoming residency shows. Oliver, who performed in pubs and busked in Stoke-on-Trent as a teenager, was selected as one of 10 up-and-coming artists. She described the opportunity as “the biggest thing” she’s done and is excited to perform on such a significant platform.
