Launching, growing and monetizing a Bitcoin community is harder than it looks

After 2 years working with Bitcoin communities across Europe, Asia and the Americas, I’ve learned one thing that consistently makes a difference:

You need to get people in the same room.

I recently asked my Bitcoin Community Leaders group how often they meet in person and the results aren’t exactly surprising:

But here’s the important part: Meeting once a month isn’t enough. The real value is what happens between meetups.

That’s why I created The Bitcoin Community Flywheel 🎡
Launch → Gather → Connect → Grow → Create Value → Monetize → Reinvest → Grow Further

The problem is that many Bitcoin communities are built by passionate amateurs who end up investing their own time, energy and money just to keep things running. I don’t think that’s sustainable.

Bitcoin communities can become self-sustaining ecosystems with multiple revenue streams:
→ Memberships
→ Sponsorships
→ Events
→ Education
→ Partnerships
→ Services

And that’s a big part of what I’m working on: helping Bitcoin communities launch, grow and become financially sustainable without losing what makes them authentic.

Because if Bitcoin is going to reach the next 100 million people, we’re going to need strong local communities to help make it happen.
