Exosome Therapeutics Emerging as Promising Area of Research
Exosomes are membrane-bound vesicles that are naturally secreted by most cell types. Ranging from 30-150nm in size, exosomes act as intercellular messengers by facilitating the transfer of proteins, lipids and genetic material between cells. The cargo within exosomes plays an important role in cell-to-cell communication and physiological processes.
