Partizan and Jabari Parker End Stalled Relationship After a Season on the Sidelines
Jabari Parker’s time at Partizan ended by mutual agreement after the American forward returned to Belgrade from a loan spell but failed to appear for the club this season.
Parker joined Partizan in the summer of 2025 as a major signing and the former No. 2 pick in the 2014 NBA draft. He later played 15 EuroLeague games, averaging 7.7 points and 2.5 rebounds, and nine ABA League games, where he averaged 9.1 points and 2.4 rebounds.
In February, Partizan sent Parker on loan to Spanish club Joventut. He remained there until the end of the season before returning to Belgrade last summer, with one year still remaining on his contract.
His return did not lead to a comeback. Partizan coach Joan Peñarroya reportedly made clear that Parker was not part of his plans, leaving the 31-year-old without an appearance for the club this season.
A separate account described the breakdown more sharply, saying Parker had struggled to adapt to Partizan and had faced disciplinary problems. It said he had been removed from the squad under both Željko Obradović and Peñarroya, highlighting that the issue extended across coaching changes.
Partizan announced that the two sides had “found a solution and, to their mutual satisfaction, reached an agreement to end their cooperation.” The club thanked Parker and wished him success in the future, bringing an end to a contract that never developed into a sustained role in its squad.
