Pro-government says Kecmanović’s missed match points cost him the Paris main draw
Miomir Kecmanović failed to reach the Paris Masters main draw after Juan Manuel Cerundolo won a dramatic final qualifying match 4–6, 7–6 (8–6), 6–7 (6–8) after more than two and a half hours. The Serbian player’s defeat was defined by two missed match points in the deciding set.

Kecmanović made the stronger start, taking an early break, but Cerundolo recovered to claim the opening set 6–4. The Argentine also fought back from a two-break deficit in the second set, yet Kecmanović held his nerve in the tiebreak and levelled the match after saving the set.

The deciding set brought another series of momentum shifts. Kecmanović recovered a break and then saved three break points in the ninth game. In the following game, however, he had two opportunities to break Cerundolo’s serve and close out the match. He could not convert either chance.

The contest therefore went to a second deciding-set tiebreak. Cerundolo prevailed 8–6, securing a place in the tournament’s main draw and ending Kecmanović’s qualifying campaign. Kecmanović had reached the final round by defeating Australia’s James Duckworth.
