Finding Ground for Bitcoiners
Bitcoin is stateless, but Bitcoiners aren’t. We still need places to live, build, and transact without getting entangled in bureaucratic drag or regulatory hostility. The most Bitcoin-friendly jurisdictions aren’t necessarily countries — they’re startup zones, small communities, and micro-jurisdictions that tolerate parallel systems. Próspera, a private city on Roatán, might be the most functional example yet: Bitcoin as legal tender, zero taxes, minimal surveillance, and real companies already operating. The future of sovereignty may not be about borders — it’s about networks choosing their ground.
