Agriculture Department — On March 9, 2026, FAS published in the Federal Register a notice of a proposed rule (91 FR 11174) entitled "Dairy Tariff-Rate Quota Import Licensing Program," proposing to amend the regulation that provides for the issuance of annual licenses to import certain dairy articles under tariff-rate quotas (TRQs) as set forth in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States. The proposed rule provided for a 30-day comment period, which would have ended on April 8, 2026. FAS has determined that a 15-day extension on the comment period, until April 23, 2026, is appropriate. This extension will allow interested persons additional time to analyze the proposal and prepare their comments. (14 days remaining)

Open for Comment: Airworthiness Directives; Stemme GmbH Gliders

Transportation Department — The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Stemme GmbH (Stemme) Model Stemme S 12 gliders. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of fuel leaking around certain copper sealing rings within the fuel system. This proposed AD would require repetitive visual checks of the fuel system for fuel leakage, and replacement of the affected copper sealing ring. This proposed AD would also prohibit the installation of affected parts. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. (45 days remaining)
