Ivana Drove 3,000 Kilometers from Iraq to Serbia: 'Missiles Were Falling on Buildings, It Reminded Me of 1999.'

Belgrade resident Ivana Vasić drove 3,000 kilometers fleeing the war in the Middle East and arrived in Belgrade from Iraq by car in three days. 'When planes were flying over my building, I decided to leave,' says Vasić, adding that it all reminded her of the experience in 1999 and the bombing of Serbia. 'My dogs kept my fear at bay during the journey to Belgrade, they are always there to support me,' says the fitness trainer.
