Introducing PPQ Whisper, an AI-powered dictation app on your desktop that’s 3x faster than typing. Works for #vibecoding, emails, slack, whatsapp, and any other app. Ridiculously simple, useful, affordable, and private. Just plug in your existing PPQ API key and go.


What is it? Similar to other viral dictation apps like WisprFlow and SuperWhisper, you press a hotkey to speak, and when you’re done, your words appear on the screen. No expensive subscription. Pay-per-use privately via our API key.

How does it work? When you press your hotkey, PPQ Whisper records your audio and streams it to our cloud provider where a speech-to-text (STT) model transcribes it in real time. The raw transcription is then passed through a large language model (LLM) that cleans up filler words, fixes grammar, and formats the text naturally. The polished result is sent back and pasted into your active app — the whole process takes just a couple of seconds.

Privacy and Transparency:

Just like with regular PPQ, your content is sent through our servers and onto cloud providers in real-time. It is not stored on our servers. It is not trained upon by our providers unless you give it explicit permission to do so. If you pay with crypto, you can use the service without connecting any personal information — no account, no email, no KYC. We are also striving to further increase privacy as well through the use of confidential compute and other nascent tech.

Creator Payments:

We worked with an dictation tech guru to build this under the agreement that we’d stream creator payments to them as it gets used. Every time a user clicks the dictation button in their app, we stream satoshis to the creator! I predict that streaming AI creator and agentic payments will become one of the primary use cases of the lightning network in the coming years, scaling to billions of payments a day.
