Guilt Trip – Armor of Angels: British Hardcore at Its Peak

Introduction

After non-stop worldwide touring and tearing through most European festivals, Manchester’s Guilt Trip could have easily slowed down. Instead, they took their signature formula and pushed everything to the next level.

Establishing themselves alongside Malevolence as THE essential British metal/hardcore band of the moment, Guilt Trip delivers what is arguably their most accomplished, aggressive, and well-crafted project to date.

The Sound: Crossover Violence & Pure Energy

What makes this album hit so hard is the seamless mix of metallic hardcore riffs and massive energy delivered relentlessly from start to finish. The vocalist’s delivery—half-sung, half-screamed—brings a hugely appreciated touch that gives the whole record a distinct personality. The production is heavy, giving every breakdown the crushing impact of a sledgehammer.

Visually and lyrically, the biblical references lend a unique feel to the release. Technically, the guitar work is insane—expect pinch harmonics dropped every 30 seconds to keep the pressure high.

Key Tracks

One By One – Pure adrenaline tailored to trigger devastating mosh pits.

Dirt – Heavy, sludgy riffs paired with razor-sharp vocal delivery.

Angel Eyes – An unforgiving groove driven by one of the nastiest breakdowns on the record.

Burn – Relentless energy capturing the band’s raw live intensity.

The Vinyl

The physical release is a total triumph. This translucent pink and purple pressing looks incredible under the light spinning on the wooden platter. A high-quality vinyl with great dynamics and zero surface noise.

Final Verdict

Rating: 8 / 10

This isn’t just another metallic hardcore record; it’s a true statement of force. Guilt Trip proves once again why they belong at the top of the UK heavy scene. An absolute must-listen for fans of metal, hardcore, or crossover thrash.
