GM: A Decentralized Novel
GM: A Decentralized Novel
This is a humorous, slightly philosophical story about a regular Nostr user who just wanted to say “GM” and accidentally discovered freedom, Bitcoin maximalism, and the meaning of decentralization. I could use something like this https://github.com/uxiew/epub2MD to convert epubs to markdown and upload them to Nostr via the app.
They’re in epub format, if that means anything
There’s https://www.gutenberg.org/?hl=en-GB which is great, but apparently this one formats them better than Gutenburg:
Links to chapters are now added automatically at the end btw 🙂
What format are the books from that online resource?
That’s a brilliant idea - I recently explored the idea of importing books directly to nostr - there’s a huge online resource for classic books available freely. I explored doing it natively, like this, to allow for comments and reactions to specific chapters, or simply sharing links to ipfs files of the library. What you’ve built here really works well.
Thank you! I actually published this via book app that I’m working on. Will try to add links to chapters in a big. Thanks for the suggestion 🙂

Vibecoded most of it, some parts I developed myself.
It’s interesting to see that the posts appeared in timeine out of sync, and this one appeared last. This would be an interesting way to publish entire books on nostr - the only thing missing, imo, is the links to the next chapter within each one you’re reading. Can that be done in these long form posts?
Cool story btw 😎
