How to accept Bitcoin payments without a middleman

Minimal self-hosted BTC payment kit with QR, mempool check and download unlock.

Most people overcomplicate this. You do not need a processor, subscription, API key or hosted checkout to sell a small digital file.

You need four things:

A BTC address
A QR code
A way to check the address for an exact payment
A download link that unlocks only after payment

I built a tiny kit for exactly that. It includes:

an HTML payment button with live BTC price and QR code
a Python backend that creates the order and tracks it in SQLite
a mempool.space payment check
a download unlock after payment

This is intentionally minimal. It is good for selling templates, PDFs, small scripts, prompts, or any low-cost digital download. You keep the code, you run it on your own host, and you do not depend on Stripe, PayPal, Gumroad or Coinbase.
