- What to take from this
From the Taurus Full Moon on October 26 to the Scorpio New Moon on November 9, the sky and the market are asking the same question.
If the last few weeks have felt like pushing a boulder uphill while someone quietly moves the hill, you are not imagining it.
There is a heaviness in the collective right now. A sense of waiting for something to be decided, and a tiredness that sits underneath the headlines.
I want to walk you through why I think that is, because the sky and the market are lining up in a way I find hard to ignore. The next two weeks hold seven transits worth knowing, and one date in particular, the 4th of November, that I would circle in your diary.
| Date | Transit |
|---|---|
| Oct 24 | Mercury stations retrograde at 20°58 Scorpio |
| Oct 26 | Full Moon at 2°45 Taurus |
| Oct 26 | Venus retrograde enters Libra |
| Nov 4 | Venus retrograde sextiles Jupiter at 24°43 |
| Nov 4 | Mercury cazimi at 12°11 Scorpio |
| Nov 4 | Uranus sextiles Bitcoin’s natal Moon |
| Nov 9 | New Moon at 16°53 Scorpio |
Let’s unpack it, starting with the body.
The Full Moon asks what you actually value
On the 26th we have a Full Moon at 2°45 of Taurus. The Moon is exalted in Taurus, which means she is at her most at home here, and the themes are the ones she loves: the body, the senses, security, and what we feel we are worth.
A Full Moon is a culmination. What you have been building around money and safety becomes visible, and it lands directly opposite the Sun in Scorpio. That is the axis of what is mine versus what is shared, owed, hidden, or controlled by someone else. It is the most primal question about money there is.
Taurus is ruled by Venus, and Venus is retrograde. So even the Moon’s ruler is in review.
The question this Full Moon asks is what you truly value, and what you are gripping out of habit.
Here is your permission slip. Instead of pushing through, what if you let your nervous system settle first? Your body is the first place you will feel a market, long before you read a chart.
Two planets turn back at once
Mercury stationed retrograde on the 24th. A station is the intense point, where a planet appears to stand still and the mind tends to do the same. In Scorpio, that takes us beneath the surface, to old conversations, things left unsaid, and the truths we have been routing around.
Mercury rules communication, information and trade. A Scorpio retrograde is rarely about new announcements. It is about revising what we thought we knew.
Then, on the 26th, Venus backs into Libra. Mercury and Venus are the planets closest to how we talk about the world and how we price it, and both are turning back in the same fortnight. Our narratives and our sense of value are being reconsidered at once.
There is a practical side to this, and it matters for anyone who holds Bitcoin. This is a good time to verify your backups and test your recovery process. Reread the contract and confirm the address. That is housekeeping, and sovereignty is a practice.
The market is already asking
The reality is that the numbers are carrying real strain.
The Nasdaq fell almost three percent last Thursday, its worst day since June, over worries about the cost and availability of capital for AI investment, while oil pushed above a hundred dollars on US and Iran tensions and the ten-year Treasury yield sat at five percent.
Gold slipped below four thousand dollars for the first time since mid-July, and French ten-year yields moved above five percent for the first time since 2002. Higher oil and rising yields have kept rate expectations elevated, and selling in tech has pushed investors to raise cash wherever they can.
When even the traditional safe haven is being sold for liquidity, that tells you something about the pressure underneath.
It also fits Scorpio perfectly. Scorpio is the sign where we find out who is carrying the debt, who is exposed to duration, and which balance sheets looked sound only while money was cheap. Banks and sovereigns both live inside that question. A Scorpio New Moon in a five percent world means every leveraged structure is being asked to justify itself.
Look at the calendar and you will see how crowded it is. The Fed decides on Wednesday, with Chair Kevin Warsh speaking afterwards, and futures are pricing a hold this week and a high chance of a hike in December. Two days later, a very large amount of Bitcoin options expire. China’s Fifth Plenum meets on Monday and Israel holds a legislative election on Tuesday. The US midterms follow on November 3rd.
The Taurus and Scorpio axis is the axis of resources and power: energy, territory, and who controls what. Mercury retrograde in Scorpio is a classic signature for statements being walked back and deals being reopened. Hold that loosely, but watch it.
November 4th
This is the day I keep returning to.
Venus, retrograde at 24°43 of Libra, makes an exact sextile to Jupiter at 24°43 of Leo. Jupiter is the planet of expansion and confidence, and a sextile is an open door rather than a push. After a heavy stretch, this can feel like a genuine softening, a flicker of warmth and the thought that perhaps it is going to be okay.
But Venus is retrograde, so this is the optimism of a second look. Think of finding something you valued and had forgotten you owned.
On the very same day, Mercury goes cazimi at 12°11 of Scorpio, sitting in the heart of the Sun. In a retrograde, this is the pivot of the whole cycle. Clarity arrives, and something murky suddenly has an outline. My advice is to let the insight land and not act on it that day. Mercury is still retrograde. Write it down and return to it.
And then, transiting Uranus sextiles Bitcoin’s natal Moon.
In astrology the Moon is the public, the emotional body of the crowd, and Bitcoin’s Moon sits in Aries. Uranus is now in Gemini, the sign of information, networks and technology, and it brings the sudden and the unexpected.
I do not read this as a price signal. I read it as a window in which the crowd’s feelings about Bitcoin can shift quickly in either direction, and the shift can arrive through news about technology, traditional market systemic failures, or who is suddenly paying attention. It lands the day after the midterms, which tells you the political clock is running alongside the celestial one.
Notice, too, that Uranus in Gemini is the signature of the AI and information revolution. It is the same story the Nasdaq just flinched at.
Three time horizons
The immediate window, roughly now through the new moon. With a Mercury retrograde sitting over a stacked macro calendar, I would expect narratives to be revised and first moves to be questioned. This is a period of heightened sensitivity to headlines and positioning, and it is not a forecast of direction.
Medium-term investor psychology. All things considered, I’m pretty happy with how Bitcoin is holding in the midst of a increasingly chaotic world stage. Venus retrograde is a period of revaluation, and many people are no longer asking about the price. They are asking why they hold this at all. I think that is healthy, because conviction that has been tested and survives is stronger than conviction that has never been questioned.
There is history worth putting on the table. Venus follows an eight-year pattern, and the last time she retrograded through this same part of the zodiac was the autumn of 2018. Bitcoin was in the middle of a long capitulation then, and a sharp leg lower arrived in mid-November. I am certainly not saying that repeats. I am asking what happens to a market when valuations are re-examined under pressure, and what it tells us about how Bitcoin is viewed in the broader market, who is selling, and who is collecting.
The multi-year evolution of the network. The nodal axis is now moving through Capricorn, Bitcoin’s Sun sign, and we are approaching the 18-year reset we have been tracking together. Uranus touching the natal Moon is one small piece of a longer story about how the public relates to this network. It is moving from curiosity to something more complicated, closer to institutions, politics, and the question of who holds the keys.
The Scorpio New Moon
On the 9th of November we have a New Moon at 16°53 of Scorpio, with Mercury still retrograde.
New moons plant seeds, and Scorpio’s seeds are honest ones. What is my relationship to debt? Where does my security actually live? If something happened to me, could the people I love access what I have built?
Those are questions about custody, inheritance and privacy, and they happen to be the very questions Bitcoin was designed to answer. Plant the intention, but do not rush to change or sign anything. Mercury turns direct later in November.
What to take from this
Astrology is a timing framework. The economy, the politics and the market are the evidence. Neither guarantees an outcome, and nobody can tell you what Bitcoin will do on a particular day. What the sky can do is tell you what kind of period this is, and this one looks like a period for revision, honest accounting and patience.
The world is renegotiating what money is worth. You can meet that with panic, or you can meet it with a settled body, a clear head and a plan.
Sovereignty is a practice, and this fortnight is a good place to start.
