Nostr and Privacy lead a quiet point-release Sunday
No structural cuts or security advisories today. The wire is dominated by point releases across Nostr (five clients and relays, including Grain, Ditto, Mostro) and Privacy (IronFox, SimpleX Chat, BasicSwap DEX), with Bitcoin and AI each contributing smaller, incremental updates. Nothing here reads as urgent; most entries are maintenance bumps, changelog fixes, or nightly builds rather than new capability.
Bitcoin
- Krux Version 26.09.0. New maintainer takes over the project; watch for direction changes in future releases.
- Bitcoin Keeper 2.5.17. Recovery Key backup status, comparison, and repair improved; relevant for multisig recovery workflows.
Nostr
- Grain 0.8.0-rc6
- Mostro 0.19.2. Publish since next to the deprecated days; Only pay dev fees when LND is on mainnet.
- Ditto 2.43.1. Ditto v2.43.1
- Rx Nostr 3.7.8. Fixes event comparison to match NIP-01 spec by comparing on event id.
- Mostrix 0.3.5. Show user-closed resolution in dispute header; Dedupe user-closed dispute admin popup.
Privacy
- IronFox 157.0.0. 157.0.0.1 Signed-off-by: celenity
- SimpleX Chat 7.1.0-beta.6. Blur media thumbnails in reply quotes and the chat list; Hide caller profile on lock screen when notification previews are hidden.
- BasicSwap DEX 0.19.0
- Logseq Desktop app Nightly Release 20261003. Nightly desktop build; expect instability relative to stable releases.
Self-hosting
- StartOS start-cli 2.2.0. Emulated service images now run across CPU architectures, useful for cross-arch StartOS deployments.
AI
- Qwen Code 0.24.7-nightly.20261003.2c591ecc08. Nightly fixes for tool permissions and CLI input handling; relevant only if tracking the nightly channel.
- Claude Agent Sdk Typescript 0.3.289. Brings SDK to parity with Claude Code v2.1.289; upgrade if pinning to matching versions.
- llama.cpp b11384. CI/build-pipeline fix for tag pushing; no functional change for end users.
