AI volume day, no new model weights again
AI leads volume for the second straight day, six of seventeen releases, but every one is agent tooling or inference-server plumbing rather than a model drop. The rest of the day scatters thin: Privacy carries four point releases, Bitcoin and Nostr two apiece, Self-hosting one. Nothing here rises above routine maintenance, no disclosed CVEs, no protocol changes worth flagging on their own. The pattern is cadence, not content: teams shipping their regular point bumps on a Sunday with no single story forcing attention.
Bitcoin
- Keystone 3 2.9.9. Firmware update; verify the published SHA-256 checksums before flashing.
- NodeGuard 0.31.0. Vendors an NSpark fork to prep Spark client support and fixes a swap-out save race; relevant for operators running BTCPay/NodeGuard swap flows.
Nostr
- nostream 3.3.0. 806 0304b8a Thanks @Anshumancanrock!
- Ditto 2.44.2. Ditto v2.44.2
Privacy
- Session iOS 2.15.5. Binds Apple Pro payments to the master key and fixes a dependency race condition; routine for iOS users.
- gopass 1.17.4. Adds hello capability negotiation to the age agent protocol and surfaces auto-lock time remaining; relevant for age-backed gopass setups.
- Logseq Desktop app Nightly Release 20261010. Nightly build, expect instability; not for daily-driver use.
- NetNewsWire 7.2b3 for Mac. Mac beta with Settings layout and Spanish localization fixes; cosmetic, no action needed.
Self-hosting
- Home Assistant 2026.10.1. Mostly dependency bumps and a Matter thermostat fix; low-risk upgrade for most installs.
AI
- Ollama 0.40.3. Cleans up warning messages for Claude and Codex launch commands; no functional change for most setups.
- Qwen Code 0.25.0-nightly.20261010.9763580b84. Nightly build with host-binding and dialog test fixes; skip unless tracking Qwen Code nightlies closely.
- Open WebUI 0.12.0. Adds realtime voice calls to the chat interface.
- openclaw 2026.10.1. Large consolidated release spanning thousands of commits; check changelog before upgrading production agents.
- opencode 1.19.0. Adds an upgrade path to OpenCode 2 via opencode upgrade –major; review breaking changes before running it.
- llama.cpp b11552. Fixes a server bug where busy slots ran prompt cache updates before deferring; relevant for multi-slot server deployments.
