What the Muslim Bitcoin Summit Is NOT About

People hear "Muslim Bitcoin Summit" and picture a room of price charts and someone shilling a coin. That's not this event. Here's what it actually is.
What the Muslim Bitcoin Summit Is NOT About

Let’s Be Clear About What This Isn’t

There’s a version of this event people assume exists before they’ve even looked at the schedule. A room full of price charts. Someone shilling a coin. A stage of guys who found Bitcoin in 2021 telling you it’s going “to the moon” and that you should mortgage your house to get in before it’s too late.
That event is not happening in London on 10–11 October. It’s worth saying plainly, because the name alone invites the assumption — and because we’d rather lose the people looking for that event than let them show up disappointed, or worse, let the people who need this one stay away thinking it’s something it isn’t.
It’s not about price. You won’t find a single speaker predicting where sats will be worth in five years. Price is noise. It’s also, frankly, a distraction from the actual question — which is whether the money you hold and the system you hold it in are just.
It’s not about speculation. Nobody on that stage is telling you to trade, leverage, or “get in early.” Speculation dressed up as sound money is still gharar. If that’s what you’re after, this isn’t your weekend.
It’s not about crypto scams, altcoins, or the next hundred-x token. This is a Bitcoin-only event, and even Bitcoin isn’t being pitched as a get-rich scheme. There’s no token launch. No presale. No project asking for your capital.
It’s not a tech meetup with a halal sticker on it. Plenty of Bitcoin events exist already. This one exists because they weren’t asking the questions that actually matter to Muslims — is this ribā-free, what does zakat look like on a bearer asset, is self-custody itself an act of amānah.
So what is it? It’s the Anti-Ribā Money Conference — a community-funded, non-profit gathering built around one honest question: what does sound, ethical money look like through an Islamic lens, and how do we actually build toward it. Scholars sitting next to developers. Panels on fiat instability and structural injustice, not candlestick patterns. Workshops on self-custody and privacy, not “portfolio strategy.”
If you came here worried it might be another hype cycle with a Muslim wrapper — that fear is exactly why this event exists, and exactly why it isn’t that.
