2. Another release from Zapstore for us 👇🏻

Zapstore
Feb 11, 2026 04:13

🚀 Zapstore for Android 1.0.0 now available!

This is a massive release consolidating almost a year of hard work:

  • Major UX refresh across all screens
  • Revamped app updates, with background downloading and checks, progress tracking
  • App Stacks and bookmarks editable from the app
  • Relay management for app catalogs
  • Security and performance improvements, and much more

We also built and migrated to an all-new relay and Blossom server backed by a CDN with assets distributed in 3 regions for faster and more reliable downloads.

In addition to that, our new publishing tool zsp v0.3.2 was also released today!

And last but definitely not least… an amazing new webapp where we hint at what the future looks like (can’t wait for Studio!).

Incredibly bullish and grateful to @pip @Niel Liesmons @elsat nostr:npub1y3yqdp44vg62ys8anqnjpx6cfprl848ev4lsmx5h4mznyz3xft9sen050hnostr:@OpenSats @HRF @AOS and all our testers and supporters, thank you!

Feb 13, 2026 16:22

i expect the rise of ai will result in massive job loss, increased economic inequality, more big tech surveillance and control - all of which leads to societal conflict

on the bright side, open source ai tech will empower those of us who demand freedom while chaos provides opportunity if we recognize it early and seize it

push forward, never stop 🎯

Holy crap, I’m on Sky News Australia! My “Substack / Online Safety Act” story was featured on the ‘Outsiders’ show by Rowan Dean. What an appropriate show for me :) I know Rowan from X, he’s switched on and daring!

I hope this helps open up some eyes.  The world is watching, as we encounter the forks of control vs. freedom.

Let’s go. p.s. having @dc0bc...3f88f on an actual mainstream TV channel was not on my 2026 bucket list 😅

🎈Today I celebrate another full revolution around the sun 🎉🌀🌞

Every year I become more grateful for the life I get to experience. I’m continually amazed by how magical life truly is - even through its difficulties and challenges.

There is beauty and humor to be found in all of it. As I get older, it becomes more apparent that this is the way forward: to become love, to grow in awareness, and to remain a lifelong student.

Discovering #Bitcoin changed my perception and understanding of the world, and in many ways, it changed my life. I’m forever grateful for falling into it.

I’m humbled to play even a small part in this movement, especially here on Nostr. It’s a special place, and what an incredible time to be alive and witness what we are all collectively building and moving through together.

Keep pushing. Keep striving for the good, the true, and the beautiful.

All love, and thank you for the support. It means the world ❤️

11. Do you think Nostr is dead? 🤔

ancaprevolt
Feb 13, 2026 06:28

Nostr is dying.

All the retarded devs are focusing on their ability to produce halfassed, infected code more rapidly with coding agents, instead of FINISHING their clients that they charge people money for.

I’m done telling people about Nostr. 75% of what I see here is AI generated photos, shit boomer ass reposts and schizo memes, and Nostr devs bragging about this or that shit prototype they vibe coded in a day. I no longer feel comfortable inviting people to join Nostr. Misplaced priorities all around.

I am done with people who use AI in production. How can you even justify that? How can THAT look good enough to you? This place just feels out of fucking touch. I don’t want to build on this protocol anymore. I don’t trust it, not with all this vibe coding.

14. We should attract this kind of plebs again to Nostr 👇🏻

Dr. Hax
Feb 14, 2026 18:16

I’m getting bored with nostr. Maybe I’m just following the wrong people, but it seems to be an echo chamber about how great the protocol is and platitudes about bitcoin.

Interesting content outside of those two topic areas doesn’t get many boosts, so when people do post it, it frequently doesn’t get discovered. I’ve found maybe 8 people on here who post that kind of stuff. That’s a pretty small social network.

Combine that with the bots and technical issues DMs no longer being reliable and it’s no wonder so many people bounce off and then tell all their friends not to bother with nostr.

Since I delivered these bitter truths about my experience here, I’m already bracing for the reply guys who are going to tell me that I am the problem, or that it’s not that bad. Probably at least one insinuation that I oppose freedom of speech or I’m using the wrong client. You know, the usual beratement and gaslighting.

15. This is the way if you want to get into freedom 🫵🏻
