Tried so hard during my 20s to achieve FIRE because I hated to work (for a boss)
I drove a Hyundai accent that I bought for $3500 and lived with roommates until I was 30 in one of the most ghetto places in Canada (Scarborough)
Now as I approach 40 (yikes) - my savings should carry me the rest of the way through life without any income.
But Now in a weird matrix where I should be drawing down on my savings and enjoying life, but saving and investing is such an ingrained habit that I feel physically ill spending money, especially in a bear market
But saving to what end? How luxurious does a “retirement” need to be? Spending now while I still have energy feels like a better move than being super rich when I’m 60?

Amber is an Android Nostr event signer used to securely sign requests from other Nostr apps without exposing private keys directly. In this release, it adds a configurable profile fetch interval (including a “never” option), improves account switching with profile pictures and scoped subscriptions per account, strengthens bunker permission parsing, reduces main-thread StrictMode violations by moving key and account operations off-thread, trims locale support, and fixes several UI and localization issues including theme contrast, translation errors, and settings text formatting.

Nostrord is a Nostr NIP-29 group chat client for desktop and web, focused on real-time group messaging over relays. In v2.0.1, the release fixes desktop packaging crashes and improves message sending and overall UX stability, along with routine version updates. NoorNote is a Nostr social client for browsing posts, interacting with notes, and managing social graphs with privacy-focused features. Buzz is a self-hosted Nostr-based workspace platform where humans and AI agents collaborate over relay-hosted channels, treating all activity as signed event data with optional agent workflows and git-integrated project spaces. In v0.3.42, the release improves stability and performance with better relay reconnect handling, bounded storage usage, faster channel switching, and optimized fan-out and query execution, while also adding repository-first project workflows, contribution heatmaps, agent catalog and configuration improvements, workspace branding via NIP-11 icons, and stronger reliability for agent execution, messaging, and state consistency.
