ā”ļøš A YEAR PASSES TOGETHER - One year is a complete revolution of the Earth around the Sun.
Today, @4d784...b96b3 closes its challenge and honors its promise: to inform you for a full year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day ā weekends and public holidays included.
At first, I wanted to end on a high note. I had countless ideas: making a video edited by myself, coding a website for the occasion, doing a live streamā¦ Then I remembered the best advice I received here: āStay humble.ā So Iāll keep it simple.
First and foremost, please know that I am proud to have kept you informed for an entire year, with transparency, consistency, and objectivity. Believe it or not, all my notes have only one intention: to convey the truth. If some of them have upset you, thatās not my problem; itās just that reality is sometimes harsh.
Here is my latest POW, the complete summary:
ā„ 11,500 + 19,100 = 30,600 activity traces ā„ 30,600 / 365 = 83.83 activity traces per day ā„ 19,100 / 365 = 52.33 notes per day ā„ 8 Ć 365 = 2,920 hours of work
Result:
ā„ 0 ā 16,500 followers ā„ 0 ā 5 million sats
I gave myself the means to achieve this. If you follow me, you know that I was present in your feed at any time of the day, without any automation. I swear. Everything was done by hand. The Flash touch is visible on each of my notesāthatās what defines my work.
I didnāt meet all my goals, but I exceeded some of them. For example, I didnāt expect to reach 16,500 followers; I was aiming for 5,000.
On the other hand, where I failed was on the stack. I expected to reach at least 0.1 BTC. In the end, I barely managed to reach half that ā until yesterday, I was still at 0.04 BTC.
But there is also something that was not planned for, and which far exceeds all the numerical targets mentioned above: your trust.
My greatest achievement is having managed to earn it. Honestly, it was not something I had included in my forecasts. Trust cannot be planned or forcedāit is built, day after day, note after note.
Beyond the numbers, thatās what really matters. Everything can be measured except trust. And yet, today on Nostr, thatās my most valuable asset.
Not to mention the wonderful people I have met here. For fear of forgetting anyone, I wonāt mention any names, but know this: I know your usernames, your photos, your writing style, your way of zapping. I have observed everything, taken everything into consideration, with the utmost respect. Thank you all, you have been the fuel for Flash, because without you I would have stopped a long time ago.

2025 has been BitcoinWalkās most transformative year yet. We now have regular walks spanning 4 continents and dozens of countries, with new communities launching almost weekly.
Each Saturday as I walk with friends here in Madeira, Iām reminded that BitcoinWalkās greatest strength is community building. Together, weāre creating a parallel world beyond the Fiat Matrixāone with fair monetary rules where no one can confiscate the fruits of your labor, and where your time and energy can be confidently saved for the future. These conversations inspired me to double down on BitcoinWalkās mission.
Weāve just launched our significantly improved website! After considerable development, weāve eliminated our reliance on Google Maps. You can now copy coordinates directly into any map app you prefer, like OpenStreetMap. As believers in FreedomTech over BigTech, this matters. Weāve also enhanced the experience for finding and starting walks, with exciting nostr features on the horizon.
Our roadmap includes publishing BitcoinWalk events natively on nostr, making events discoverable across platforms like Orange Club and Satlantis. Iām also collaborating with HodlBod to implement Flotilla as our nostr-based group chat solution.
Hereās where I need your help: Development costs for these improvements have been significant. While weāve kept expenses lean by working with efficient partners, your contributions would directly enable us to continue building and scaling these community tools.
