§Wellbeing 2.0: The Cyberpunk Glassmorphism Redesign & Protocol Interop Update

A massive visual overhaul, unified glassmorphic design system, and critical NIP-01 / NIP-19 addressing fixes across the Wellbeing Nostr suite.

§🔮 1. The Visual Transformation: From Functional to Futuristic

When we first built the Wellbeing Android clients (Holy Fit, Nunlock, Sister Charge, Cell-ibacy, and Saint Stream), our primary focus was proving that sovereign personal health and device telemetry could thrive on Nostr.

While the engine was solid (background NIP-44 encryption, silent Amber signing, and Health Connect sync), the native mobile interfaces were purely utilitarian. Meanwhile, our web dashboards had evolved a signature aesthetic: dark cyberpunk glassmorphism, glowing neon accents, and edge-to-edge typography.

With Wellbeing 2.0, we’ve brought that full visual identity directly into native Android.

§The Design System Breakdown

• Ambient Canvas: Vertical linear backdrop transitioning from midnight violet (#160F24) down into deep space (#0F0B15) with full edge-to-edge system window inset handling (fitsSystemWindows).
• Hero Metric Cards: 28dp rounded glass containers with 1.5dp neon purple glow borders (#9D4EDD) highlighting daily step counts, unlock counts, battery levels, data consumption, and live music stream.
• Secondary Surfaces: 20dp glass cards (#1E182C to #140F20) for telemetry readouts (Voltage, Temperature, Wi-Fi usage) and drilldowns.
• Zero-Latency Past Caching: Historical days (date < today) are persistently cached to eliminate redundant relay roundtrips on app launch while keeping today’s live telemetry 100% real-time.
• Micro-Interactions & Animations: Tactile 50dp pill buttons with smooth ripple states, live pulsing glow animations during device charging, dynamic battery status styling, and crisp 🟢 Connected status badges.

§🏃 Holy Fit (Pedometer & Activity)

• Hero Step Counter: Massive bold daily step readout with real-time goal progress.
• Glassmorphic Step Breakdown: Comprehensive stats breakdown featuring Total Steps Recorded, Daily Average, and Peak Step Day.
• Interactive Day Modal: Tap any past day to inspect goal achievement percentage (🎯 Goal Achieved), estimated distance (miles/km), and active calorie burn.
• Paginated History Archive: Smooth 7-day paginated archive with page navigation controls.

§🔒 Nunlock (Digital Focus & Screen Unlocks)

• Focus Hero Card: Big, clean unlock tracker designed for quick mindfulness check-ins.
• Live Relay Fetching: Full WebSocket sync of historical screen unlock events (kind:30342) directly from Nostr relays with background NIP-44 decryption.
• Unlock Breakdown & Deep History: Telemetry breakdown (Total Unlocks, Daily Average, Peak Day) and modal drilldowns displaying screen checks per hour and focus rating (🧘 Zen Master).

§🔋 Sister Charge (Battery Health & Telemetry)

• Live Dynamic Battery Hero: Real-time battery percentage with dynamic icon states: smooth pulsing glow when plugged in and amber warning below 20%.
• Dual Telemetry Glass Cards: Instant side-by-side readouts for battery voltage (V) and thermal levels (°C).
• Battery Breakdown & Snapshots: History archive calculating average operating voltage, average temperature, and interactive modal snapshot cards (kind:30343).

§📶 Cell-ibacy (Data & Bandwidth Wellbeing)

• Dual Neon Hero Cards: Distinct glowing cards for Cellular Data (Neon Violet) and Wi-Fi Data (Mint Green) with crisp custom vector iconography.
• Data Breakdown & Paginated History: Daily bandwidth telemetry log (kind:34557 / kind:30345) with daily average and peak usage analytics across past cycles.
• Cross-App Correlation: Drill into any historical day to see complete app-by-app data consumption paired with correlated Screen Time from The Habit.

§🎵 Saint Stream (Media & Heartbeat)

• Now Playing Hero Card: Glowing vinyl/media frame with dynamic song title and artist typography.
• 15-Second Heartbeat: Real-time listening broadcast (kind:36787) paired with historical archive sync (kind:30344).
• Streaming Breakdown & Archive: Complete broadcast archive with top artist breakdown, playback sources, and modal tracklist drilldown.

§🛠️ 3. Protocol Deep Dive: The d-Tag Standardization & 1-Click Migration

In addition to visual polish, this release standardizes protocol interoperability for parameterized replaceable events across all Nostr clients.

§The Delimiter Problem

In Nostr (NIP-01, NIP-33, and NIP-19), addressable replaceable events are indexed via:

naddr = 30345:<pubkey>:<d-tag>

In early iterations of our clients, some tags inadvertently included an application-scoped colon prefix:

["d", "cell-ibacy:2026-08-27"]

When parsed by standard Nostr indexers, relay filters, and NIP-19 decoders, the internal colon caused parser ambiguity across tools expecting pure delimiter-free string identifiers:

30345:<pubkey>:cell-ibacy:2026-08-27  // 4 colon segments instead of 3

§The Standardized Resolution

All Wellbeing 2.0 clients now strictly emit clean, colon-free ISO 8601 date tags:

["d", "2026-08-27"]

This guarantees 100% interoperability across external Nostr clients, Coracle, Snort, Primal, and specialized Wellbeing aggregators.

§1-Click In-App and Web Migration

To make this transition painless for existing users:

• Automatic Legacy Detection: Both our Web UIs and native Android Settings menus automatically query your relays on launch for any legacy colon-prefixed records.
• Dynamic Count Badge: If older records exist, a migration button appears with the exact count (e.g. Migrate Legacy d-Tags (12) 🏷️).
• One-Click Re-Signing: Tap once to re-sign and publish clean replacements seamlessly via your connected Nostr signer.
• Zero-State Indicator: Once all events are verified standardized, the button gracefully disables into All d-Tags Standardized ✨.

§🚀 4. What’s Next: Introducing The Habit

With the Wellbeing core suite upgraded to 2.0, we are also unveiling the newest addition to the family: The Habit.

The Habit is a sovereign Android app that tracks daily screen time and digital focus over Nostr (kind: 30345), and it ties directly into Cell-ibacy for full cross-app telemetry correlation. When you drill down into any historical day in either app, you can see your exact screen time alongside your Wi-Fi and Cellular bandwidth consumption per application.
