What to do when its so bleak and drab that its pointless to take along a camera? This is a bit about extreme focal lengths from the previous days :-)
Foggy days...

The past couple of days have been so foggy and drag that its hard to get anything done, so I’ll do this instead.

This is of course not a wonderful picture that will attract a lot of attention, but still it works on its own as content.

Why? Well the perspective and extreme optics work well together, which is why I saw this while on my walk.

Would it work with more standard lenses? Lets see!

This was from another day where I took along my old Nikkor from 1970 :-)

Does it work? Not really, there is no point to it all in my opinion… Not enough separation to create anything.

What about going the opposite way?

imageNikkor 16/2.8 fisheye

This old fisheye landed in my lap after the agency I started with a partner fell apart in 2020. I’m pretty sure that I would never have bought one, since I’ve never seen the attraction.

Yet after getting used to it I feel like taking it along on my travels!

So far it has been my experience that I can use it to create new takes on places where others have been, or where I’d do certain more standard takes myself.

Hope I get back to the pyramids with both the 300/2.8 and fisheye!

That’s it for this bleak day :-)
