Seems like I hit bedrock today!

First literally, in a narrow walley that I visited regularly growing up, then some bedrock people, before this body crashed again for a few hours.

imageFive old guys

They had just sat down there, passing something hot to drink between them :-)

imageFocus on the guys instead

I didn’t get that passing of cups on camera, that would have been perfect…

imageOld, wrought iron

My great great grandfather might have produced this, along the trail where I met the guys. I think my grandmother told me that, and I do know that he was the only blacksmith with an intact business after most of the city burned to the ground, so he got all the work…

imageA bush of holly

I put a bit of work into this, including temporarily blinding my right eye haha!

imageCloser details

The combination of this light, the holly and the 300/2.8 like this probably won’t come back, so better get it right!

imageThe final closeup

This is the final result, converted from raw to get the whole, improbable range from shadow to the sun itself in the frame :-)

Definitely a good day even with the physical timeout!
