Recent Milestones

• @Dimi: Got TollGate to run in a VM, so any router capable of connecting to a VPN can now use that virtual TollGate in the backend, even if it’s not powerful enough to run TollGate locally.

• @Arjen: Re-factored and fixed the data measurement + session renewal logic. This is important for real-world deployments of TollGate.

• @DNS4SATS.XYZ: Worked on making a TollGate for charging electric cars. This is important because it helps us to think more clearly about how the protocol applies in other contexts.

• @SatsAndSports: Made cashu tube, which uses spillman channels in the background. You can easily run your own server using this solution. This is important for TollGate because it enables small, frequent, granular payments without ddossing the mints, thus TollGates won’t get rate limited as much by the mints anymore.

• Charly & @Nikos: Are contributing their hardware and RF expertise, which is valuable, because it could enable TollGates to run over satellite links and thus potentially serve large numbers of customers without being constrained by the range of WiFi routers.

• @c03rad0r: Is working on our ability to build rust packages for OpenWRT targets.
