PlayStation State of Play June 2026: All the news and trailers

While the majority of Summer Game Fest takes place over the weekend, Sony is getting a jump on things with its next State of Play showcase, which airs on June 2nd at 5PM ET. It’s coming at a pivotal time for the PlayStation brand: The PS5 keeps getting more expensive and Sony’s big bet on live-service games has largely fallen flat. A good showing at SGF won’t fix everything, but it could help show that PlayStation is on the right path moving forward.

With 5 million weekly users, OpenAI says Codex isn’t just for programmers.

As Microsoft shows off its AI tools at Build, close frienemy OpenAI is once again promoting Codex as something for all kinds of information and knowledge-based work that goes beyond ChatGPT’s features. It’s launching new plugins, and says that business and enterprise customers have access to a new preview capable of building “interactive, hosted websites and apps” that it can keep updated with new data.

Martin Scorsese's Reported AI "Embrace" Doesn't Live Up to the Hype.

Fresh off interviewing the chatbot-powered stunt that is Tilly Norwood, the NYT tells us of Martin Scorsese's advisor and partner arrangement with Black Forest Labs (whose Flux tech has powered xAI's image generation) in what it calls "a clear sign of Hollywood's softening stance on artificial intelligence."

Microsoft Build 2026: All the news about Windows, AI, RTX Spark, and more

Microsoft Build 2026 kicked off with a keynote presentation that introduced some developer-focused Windows updates, an OpenClaw-based AI assistant called Scout, the new Majorana 2 quantum computing chip, and a Surface mini PC designed for AI developers. Microsoft also rolled out a new Android-based OS called Project Solara that’s designed for gadgets that run AI agents.
