Deeper into the Nostrverse

I am a fan of youtube and I use it alot.
so when i arrived on decentralized algorithm free nostube it was decidedly weird and quiet and empty looking. It makes sense though since i had not followed many profiles and so i figured i would start there, but my searches yielded little of interest. Anyway, I am trying to give nostube a fair shot, and kept at it again today, getting used to uploading to nostube to flesh out my profile with more #shorts videos. Mainly to up my trust score on the platform and things were going great until all my videos mysteriously disappeared from my profile, yesterday.

I had a freak out and posted about it.

I reckon it was a relay issue, because when i logged in today the videos had been restored - but my most recent upload was missing a thumbnail.

Which is where the rabbit hole begins.

I figure - fine, let me update the thumbnail.
Long story short - You cannot.
I figure - fine, let me delete it, then.
Long story short - You cannot.
It was about that time that I realised
there is no “Creator Studio” functionality
built into nostube … yet.

Which is how I arrived at the Nostrudel client today
to try and create a kind(5) deletion request.

It was weird.

I had to find the event that generated the video on nostube
that was missing a thumbnail, in order to issue the delete request
and yeah … I published it.
Maybe twice … in fact.

I hope it does not break things.

So, now i wait
for the nostube background-housekeeping update-thing
to refresh and then see if the delete request actually worked…

Pretty hectic. I learned alot again today.
And it seems the Universe has rewarded the effort.

Deeper and deeper into the nostrverse I go …
