Transcript — YouTube panel (human-authored)

0:02 hi my name is Will vanin I was one of the judges for the covid origins debate between Peter and SAR and Erie on behalf of rot claim first I want to say it was a privilege to be part of this debate SAR and Yuri did an incredible job for the lab leak side and Peter did an amazing job for the zoonosis side both teams put an amazing amount of work in and it showed in both the quality of their research and the quality of the debate uh the fact that they both put money down uh and put their money where their mouths are uh I think shows a better method for doing a lot of types of discourse uh that we currently have especially on this subject I think this debate in particular read a lot of really important data into the record and we were able to compare and contrast some of the claims I’m excited to do future uh potential updates to the decision um or discussions uh between the four of us ultimately I voted for Peter I believe that he had the superior

0:49 case that SARS K2 was more likely than not a zoonotic spillover I have described my decision in two lengthy documents uh I made a decision based on two methods one was a kind of holistic uh decision-making on the basis of my training as a debater and the second was using the basian framework that was preferred by SAR and root claim again both Debaters did a wonderful job to dig into the decision the reasons I made it please see links to both of those documents which are publicly available and linked in the uh uh description of this stud
