Apple Introduces Reference Image Authentication for iPhone Photos

Apple announced Reference Image for the iPhone 18 Pro, which creates an unalterable sensor-based record intended to show whether a photo has been edited or generated by AI. The company will also provide an API for developers, though the feature will initially be unavailable in the European Union.
