I’m willing to say I think the President stepped in it with the Jesus picture. It’s not like it’s unexpected because he does stuff like that. What I think people miss is the big picture. President Trump is changing the landscape of the world. He is making it a safer place by taking out these dictators. He’s not doing it in the normal way that people think of. And for those who worry that he’s a dictator, I will point out that if someone wants to be a dictator, they have to take over the power in their own country first before moving on to other countries. President Trump has not done that.
Instead what he is doing is placing America in a better position and weakening our enemies (China & Russia) by taking out their allies. President Trump made it clear that he was willing to take the political hit by attacking Iran. He knew it was going to hurt. But because he cares more about saving American lives if a nuke was dropped on us, he was willing to be the shield. So, in a sense he could feel like he has done more to actually help people, than a guy dressed in Robes that does nothing but preach (ie the pope). I honestly wonder if he was trying to egg on the pope by trying to make himself look like a pope type to show that he does more than the pope to save lives.
It’s easy for someone like the pope to be an arm chair quarter back and say war=bad. But that’s not true. War can be good, because it’s the means of removing the bad.– The pope doesn’t seem to care about Christians who are slaughtered. Meaning outrage indicates what matters most to one’s self. Sure he might not like it, but he is in a nice safe, guarded place and doesn’t really have to worry about the atrocities that happen and the most important thing to him is to argue with another world leader. I wonder what he has said with Russia attacking Ukraine – just wondering??
Now, this doesn’t make the Pope bad. Because too many want to think that everything is either one person is bad or good. Which is wrong. But it does show that we have biases.
