Description
Welcome back! In this video, I discuss an incredibly important article where Grant Palmer (a very involved and active member of the LDS church who was the Director of the Institute of Religion, taught BYU seminary and is a published author) exposed the deep truths within Mormonism that show evidence that the General Authorities (prophets and apostles… “quorum of the twelve”) do NOT even believe in the doctrines and beliefs they’re sharing with the members. It’s all a lie. They’re literally being paid off to deceive their own congregations.

01 Welcome back. Who here has heard of Grant Palmer? I have, and I’m sure most, if not all of you have heard of him as well. In the slight chance that you have not heard of who this man is, he was a famous Latter-day Saint historian. And the book that he came out with his and is most known for is called an insider’s view of Mormon origins. And this book ultimately left to his dysfellowshipment from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints back in the year 2004.
33 So you can look up Grant Palmer here on YouTube. You can look him up all over the internet and you can find some incredible resources in regard to Mormonism. And he’s a graduate from BYU. He had his MA and yeah, he was in the Mormon world. And this guy knows what he’s talking about. So, I came across this article today and it kind of blew me away and as I was reading it, it said so many things that have been going through my head for the last year. So, I have been listening to lots of general conference speeches lately from a bunch of different members of the quorum and I have been listening to a bunch of different topics and I have been listening to what they have to say, what they’re teaching and I have had so many thoughts on so many different issues and with all of that running through my mind this week in the past several weeks this article comes up and it just as I’m reading it, my head is flooding
34 with all of these thoughts that I thought as I’m hearing these general conference speeches and as I read quotes from all of these Latterday Saint leaders that are way way up there. So, I just want to get into this article. I’m going to link it in the description below. If you would rather read it for yourself, no problem. But, I’m going to go through it here because you’re going to see why. Let’s just dive right in.
59 This is the title of it. Grant Palmer reveals stunning LDS church insider information and the title is three meetings with an LDS general authority 2012, 2013 by Grant H. Palmer. So this was written on April 6, 2013. It was confirmed that Grant Palmer did in fact write all this. And let’s just get in and and dive into this article. There is so much in here. So it says, “The following very interesting memorandum was received recently from Grant H.
34 Palmer, the renowned LDS historian, and is shared here with his permission. Three meetings with the LDS general authority 2012 through 2013 by Grant H. Palmer.“ In mid-occtober 2012, a returned LDS mission president contacted me to arrange a meeting. Several days later, he called again and said that a member of the first quorum of the 70 also wished to attend. He said the general authority would attend on condition that I not name him or repeat any stories that would identify him. He explained that neither of them, including the general authorities’s wife, believed the founding claims of the restoration were true.
19 He clarified that they had read my book, An Insiders View of Mormon Origins, and had concluded that the LDS church was not true, was not what it claimed to be. The general authority often went to the Mormons.com website for information and there discovered my book. The mission president said he received my book from the general authority. We have at this writing met three times.
48 The first met on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012, and again February 14th, 2013 at my house. On March 26, 2013, we convened at the general authorities’s house. Upon entering my home for the first meeting, the general authority said, “We are here to learn.” I recognized him. He has been a member of the first corum of the 70 for a number of years. He has served in high several high-profile assignments during this period.
19 The following are the more important statements made by the general authority during our last three meetings. We now meet monthly. So listen to this. He said that each new member of the quorum of the twel apostles is given $1 million to take care of any financial obligations they have. This money gift allows them to fully focus on the ministry. He said that the overriding consideration of who is chosen is whether they are church broke meaning they will do whatever they are told.
00 He said, “The senior six apostles make the agenda and do most of the talking. The junior six are told to observe, listen, and learn and really only comment if they are asked.” He said that it takes about 2 to three years before the new apostle discovers that the church is not true. He said it took Deter F. Ukdorf a little longer because he was an outsider. He said, “They privately talk among themselves and know the foundational claims of the restoration are not true, but continue on boldly because the people need it.” Meaning, the people need the church.
39 When the mission president voiced skepticism and named blank as one who surely did believe, the general authority said, “No, he doesn’t.” The $1 million gift plus their totally obedient attitude makes it easy for them to go along when they find out the church is not true. For these reasons and others, he doesn’t expect any apostle to ever expose the truth about the foundational claims. Okay, let’s keep going.
10 When I asked the general authority how he knew these things, he answered by saying that the quorum of the 12 today is more isolated from the quorums of the 70s now because there are several of them. When only one quorum of the 70 existed, there was more intimacy. During his one-on-one assignments with an apostle, conversations were more familiar. He said that none of the apostles ever said to him directly that they did not believe but that it was his opinion based on my interactions with them. Also that none of the 12 want to discuss truth issues meaning issues regarding the foundational claims of the church.
48 He said that the apostles lives are so completely and entirely enshed in every detail of their lives in the church that many of them would probably die defending the church rather than admit the truth about Joseph Smith and the foundations of the church. The general authority stated that my disciplinary action, which would have occurred on the final Sunday of October 2010, had I not resigned, was mandated slashordered slashapproved by the first presidency of the church. I said that if the apostles know the church is not true and yet order a disciplinary hearing for my writing a book that is almost certainly true regarding the foundational claims of the church, then they are corrupt, even evil. He replied, “That’s right.”
39 The general authorities said the church is like a weakened dam. At first, you don’t see cracks on the face. Nevertheless, things are happening behind the scenes. Eventually, small cracks appear and then the dam will explode. When it does, he said, the members are going to be shocked and will need scholars/historians like me to educate them regarding the Mormon past. The mission president and the general authority both said they attend church every Sunday and feel like a hypocrite and trapped. The general authority said his ward treats him like a king and when he gives fire sides and speaks to LDS congregations, they have high expectations of him. He would like to do more in getting the truth out besides raising a few questions when speaking and gifting my book to others when feeling comfortable.
30 Perhaps this is why he has reached out to me. The general authority is a man of integrity and very loving. Upon leaving each time, he always gives me a big hug. Do the following statements support the disclosures of the general authority? Apostle Boyd K. Packer said to Michael Quinn when interviewing him for a history position at BYU in 1976. And I quote, “I have a hard time with historians because they idolize the truth. The truth is not uplifting. It destroys.” Quoted in faithful history, essays on writing Mormon history, editor George D.
11 Smith, Salt Lake City, Utah, Signature Books, 1992, 76, and 22. Gregory Prince, who wrote a seinal biography of President David O. McKay related to me that when he interviewed Hugh Nibbi, a professor at BYU in 1995, that at one point in the interview, he meaning Nibbi asked that I turn off the tape recorder, which I did. He then related a curious anecdote relating to McKay and the Book of Mormon, indicating that McKay did not believe in the historicity of the Book of Mormon.
49 emails exchanged between me and Greg Prince on June 22, 2005. These documents are located in the Grant H. Palmer Papers 2071 Manuscripts Division, Marriott Library, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah. Thomas Stewart Ferguson, a California lawyer, church member, and avid amateur archaeologist, took the Egyptian papyrie that was gifted to the church in 1967 to several Egyptologists at Berkeley. And as I recall, Brown University and had them independently translated. All said the papyrie were commonerary rights from the Book of the Dead. Ferguson then took their statements to Apostle Hugh B.
32 Brown. And after reviewing the evidence with brother Brown, he said that brother Brown agreed with him that it was not scripture that Hugh B. Brown did not believe the book of Abraham was what the church said it was. Journal entry of Ronald O. Barney concerning Thomas Stewart Ferguson on 19th of April 1984. Barney, now retired, worked at the LDS library and archives at church headquarters in Salt Lake City. Ferguson also said the same to Gerald and Sandre Tanner on December 2nd, 1970. Mr.
06 Ferguson had just visited with Mormon Apostle Hugh B. Brown before coming to our house and said that Brown has also come to the conclusion that the Book of Abraham was false. Letter of Gerald Tanner to DJ Nelson December 10th 1970 published by Modern Microfilm Company Salt Lake City Utah. So that’s the article and I wanted to put it on my channel because I have been listening to general authorities speak in conferences here on YouTube and all over the internet on church ofjesus Christrist.org.
40 And I cannot help as I watch these men and listen to the words that are coming out of their mouth think over and over in my mind, does this man actually believe the words that he just said? Do these people actually believe the things that they are teaching this huge congregation of people listening to them? And my conclusion is always absolutely not. No way. I will hear words and phrases where they are discouraging members from doing a Google search. They are discouraging the members of the church from doing any sort of research outside of Latterday Saint approved documents. I hear and witness all of these things and I just I’m frustrated. I’m cringing inside and I’m thinking there is absolutely no way that these guys believe this. But I know that they’re way up there. They’re in these high positions. They’re paid extremely well. And it is their job to continue this lie. It is their job that all of the congregation and the members of the
50 church are hearing what they’re saying and they need to continually repeat it, repeat it, repeat it so that people believe it and absorb it and people trust them and it’s so deceitful and it’s so disturbing. And I thought that this article here by Grant Palmer, it it kind of nailed it. They’re saying absolutely not. We don’t believe it. you know, Der Updorf. Oh, he doesn’t believe what he’s saying. He’s up there. He’s rehearsing his memorized speech among all of the others. They’re saying the very same thing, whether it be about a testimony or whether it be about the doctrine and beliefs and Joseph Smith and everything else. They’re saying all of these things that are eloquently rehearsed and memorized and they’re saying them to all of the congregation so that the congregation hears it and absorbs it and takes it and accepts it as truth. And yet I do not believe with any bit of who I am that they actually
48 believe the things that they are saying in the day and age that we live in with information and the internet and the ability to research everything. You can read as a Latter-day Saint the entire list all of the Journal of Discourses. You can read from start to finish all of those volumes right here online on the BYU website. and it’s LDS approved because it’s LDS literature and an LDS site. You can read a lot of the discourses right there on the church’s website if you know what to type into the search bar. You can read about all of these issues and coverups and historical problems right there on churches.org.
37 And you have to know what you’re searching for, but they’re there. So, with all of this information there at your fingertips, and then if you’re to venture outside of Mormon sources, if you’re to venture outside of approved church sources, you can find so much more. And I’m not talking about anti-ormons who are just spewing out lies. I’m talking about cold, hard facts that are all backed up with Latter Day Saints. And that’s what I try to do with every one of my videos is back it up with Latter Day Saint sources so that the words coming out of my mouth are not my own, but I am actually giving you correct information that you can factch check for yourself and confirm that it was in fact said or it is in fact true. So, I bring this to light because it’s so important and I just hate to see people sitting and living and dedicating their lives to a belief system that is corrupt from the ground up. The leaders at the very top have so much deceit and so much
46 to hide. And I just my desire is that everybody can open their eyes and just become aware, be smart, start using your mind and really think through these things and do the research and find out exactly what is true and what is not. I mean, do these issues make you think? Do they make you wonder? Have you ever listened to a general authority speak at conference and wonder, do they actually believe for themselves truly, wholeheartedly, what they’re saying, what they’re telling us. Because I will say very honestly that as I hear these men speak, I feel as though I am being deceived, deceived, deceived over and over and over. And as you hear more and more of the topics and you hear more and more of the repetition and more and more of the um kind of sugarcoating everything and the discouragement from thinking for yourself and really truly studying and knowing factually why you believe what you believe. With all that discouragement, it just makes me sick and it makes me so sad. And I just pray
03 that every one of you will search, seek truths, find out what is really true and what is not about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Because if you go back to its very beginning, if you go back to its founding claimed prophet, Joseph Smith, and you go back to the origins of the Book of Mormon, the historicity, the archaeology or lack thereof, if you dive into all of the topics within Mormonism and all of the stories and martyrdom of Joseph and uh his life and the first vision accounts and so much more, you will see that there are so many problems and so many contradictions. And I have my channel here on YouTube to cover a huge vast array of Mormon topics so that we can hash these out together.
01 We can think through them. I source them out so that everybody can fact check what it is that I’m saying because it’s not my words. I’m direct quoting from Latter- Day Saints throughout pretty much every single one of my videos. And so I hope that you will look into these things for yourself. I hope that you will start thinking and seeking out truth. And my desire is that every single one of you watching comes to know the truth. And the truth is not Mormonism or the God or Jesus or gospel message of Mormonism. It’s not. It is the beautiful truth of biblical Christianity. The Bible is packed full of historical accuracy and verifiability. And Jesus was real. Jesus of the Bible is the almighty, eternal, everlasting God of the universe, creator of all things. He is not a mere man who was exalted. He is not a spirit child of a man who was once exalted from another world and into godhood. Jesus is the almighty God. And so I hope and pray
15 that each one of you, whether you’re Mormon or whether you’re ex Mormon, that you will seek out the truth, the Bible, the one true God, not the belief system of the Latter-day Saints that has been feeding a whole series of lies for going on a couple centuries now. It breaks my heart to see people who are so devout and so absolutely absorbed into a belief system that is teaching false deception.
46 It’s just not fair for people to be conditioned over and over and over to follow a prophet, to follow your leaders, to avoid anything that’s not from your church because that is a method of control and to keep you hanging on to a belief system that is not true. and your finances and your family and your time and your effort and everything else are absorbed into this church and just completely immersed and wrapped around this church. And I want you to find freedom not only from a false belief system, but freedom in the true gospel message where you accept Christ as your personal savior and you are free. free from the bondage of sin, \[snorts\] free from guilt and shame. You are a new creation when you surrender your life wholeheartedly to the Lord.
48 And it is so exciting to realize that the Bible has so much truth to be found. It’s historically verifiable. It’s an incredible book where the Old Testament and the New Testament are two books that come together as one. And the Old Testament contains prophecies, incredibly huge, major detailed prophecies that are fulfilled within the New Testament to extreme detail to the point that no human being could ever ever write such a book. It’s not contradictory like Mormonism where we have all these first vision accounts where this is the basis of Joseph Smith knowing who God is. He says he saw God and Jesus of flesh and bones, two separate personages. Well, guess what?
37 There’s nine other accounts that contradict that very one. And Joseph from the very get-go has so many problems with his story, with his doctrine and his teachings. And when compared to biblical Christianity, they are absolutely opposite and they teach a completely different belief system. And there is one way to heaven and that is Jesus. He is the way. He is the truth. He is the life. No one comes to the father but through Jesus Christ. And it has to be the Jesus Christ of the Bible.
09 It cannot be the older brother of Satan. That is the Jesus of Mormonism. But the Jesus of biblical Christianity is the almighty God of the universe, creator of all things. And he is not our brother. He is our God. And so I just encourage you to please seek out the truth of biblical Christianity. Seek out the truth in all senses of the word. Seek out the truth with history and facts and who’s teaching what and if what they’re teaching is in fact the truth. And God gave us sound minds to discern truth. I love how James 15, it doesn’t say, “Pray and ask if these things are true.” No, James 15 says, “Pray and ask for wisdom.” Wisdom is brilliance. It’s discernment. It’s using your mind and being wise. And when you’re wise, you seek things out. You search. If you seek me, you will find me. If you search with all your heart, says the Bible, says God. And we need to just use our minds.
17 We need to seek, search, test everything, and find out what it is that’s truth. And I can guarantee you that truth is not found in Mormonism. Mormonism will not end well. A false gospel, a different gospel differing from the biblical gospel does not save souls. False Christ cannot save souls eternally. In Galatians 1 in the Bible talks about a false gospel. If anyone teaches a differing gospel than the one I teach, or if even angels teach a gospel differing from the gospel message of the Bible, they are to be accursed.
02 And Galatians 1 absolutely refers to Mormonism, to the doctrine of the Latter-day Saints. So, please seek this out. Search and find the true God of heaven. He loves you so much. He created you. He wants a relationship with you. And he is not the God of Mormonism. I care about you. I care about your eternal soul. And I just beg you and urge you to please study and search and learn and research and think and grow and use discernment and use the wisdom that God will absolutely give you if you ask him for it and if you are diligent in thinking through things and really working at it and studying and working out your own faith. So I uh just thank you so much for watching my channel. I hope that this video was helpful to you.
53 So, I know that this is kind of a loaded topic and I know that I am probably offending lots of people listening, but the fact of the matter is I care about the truth. I want you to care about the truth. And I just hope that you will be a truth seeker. That’s what matters. And the other thing that matters is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The biblical Jesus Christ our Lord. I want that for you. I have that. I have a joyfilled, blessed, happy life because I am secure. I have my identity in Christ.
23 and it is so beautiful. So, I would love to hear from you. If you guys want to reach out to me, if you’re searching and seeking me, you don’t know where to turn, I just encourage you to find a solid Bible believing church that can help you and that has biblical doctrine and not doctrine of man. And so, I uh if you haven’t subscribed to my channel, I’d love for you to subscribe. I’d love to see you back. Thanks to everyone who’s returning to my page. And I I just hope to see you all again in my next video. Be blessed. Uh search, think, research, and uh use wisdom. And love you guys. All right. Bye-bye.
