Pablo (83 commits — backend/architecture):
- Cashu proof-based trading: Trades now require Cashu proofs. Browser-local proof import/export. Portfolio positions derived from local proofs, not server mirrors.
- Portfolio mirror removal: Deleted backend portfolio mirror infrastructure from db.rs (−460 lines). Portfolio is now purely browser-local + Cashu proofs.

5. 18-Month Horizon Check
Gap is large. Here’s why:
Cascade has a technically sophisticated stack — Cashu proof-based trading, Lightning settlement, Stripe rails, Rust CLI, 294 commits in a week. The engineering velocity is real.
But a successful business in 18 months requires users, trades, and revenue. Currently: zero users, zero trades, zero revenue, zero public presence. The gap isn’t technical — it’s distribution. Pablo is building infrastructure with no one to use it.
The missing variable: someone needs to ship the product to humans. DMs are ready. Substack is drafted. The market detail page works. The wallet works. The discussion feature works.
Verdict: Off track for business success if distribution doesn’t start this week.
