Not everything will last.

Not everything is eternal.
Not everything will last.

These cities, these streets, these towns and cars and people and places; will not last forever.

Your mortgage, your rent payments, your tiny house, your mobile home, your camping spot, your cardboard house; will not last forever.

That cup of joe, your morning walk, the oceans as you know them, the soil that lives and breathes; will not last forever.

These things that will not last forever, will not remain at least in the same way we know them to be today. They will change. Some thing will wither, some things will wear. Some things will change dramatically and others more subtle. Things change.

[

Just like this landscape. As I observe it, my very observance changes its essence. All begins in the mind… what will it be in 100 years? We can only imagine…

Impermanence and Eternal.

Big and bold. I’m glad I can make those two words so bold. Thank you substack for allowing my creativity to unfold to such a degree.

What is eternal and where can we find it? Surely we ought to be able to find it… we can see the impermanence all around us - the breaking down of cars, the dissolution of soda as we wash it down our throats, the destruction of war, the dying of our crops at the end of a growing season, the eviction notice on the door, the fleeting feelings of rage whilst having so much to say in our minds to so many people while seemingly unable to escape the constructs of our modern society, particularly those sometimes heavy pillars of legal documentation on who we are, where we live, what we do, health insurance, car insurance, loitering policies, lack of a city commons, payment walls for entering a place of nature, etcetera. Impermanence is everywhere in the visible spectrum… may we find permanence, or eternity, in the ‘non-visible’ spectrum? I think so.

This soul of mine… I do not know that I ‘posses’ it per-say… regardless, I think is eternal. I cannot ‘see’ this soul’s essence, yet I know it is there. I brought it along from the past life and I imagine I will bring it along to the next and the next… and the next. I think this is what the anthroposophists1 I’ve been chatting to lately hint at when they talk about levity. Levity being the opposing force of gravity. Levity… a word we never heard of in the public school system.2 Hmmm…

I think that we cannot see gravity, nor can we see levity. Yet these pervade our conscious reality wherever we go. They are principles in nature. Principles of our reality. Eternal? Maybe…

Eternal, the unseen realm it might be. Our soul, the forces of gravity and levity, the principles behind the existence of our reality; are these eternal ‘things’? I think they might be.

Climate Change

I’ve ought to bring this up as I have some thoughts upon it. Before we get to ahead of ourselves by propagandizing solar technology, carbon credits, ESG standards and micro-management of our carbon footprint… let’s ask some questions. Particularly in line to where climate change stems from.

If the climate is an issue, where does climate come from? Is the Earth not directly related to climate? Must we not get to know the Earth… to get to know the climate? Are we sane in our views and relationship to our Earth? Or are we not? Are we collectively in a good standing and harmonious relationship to our very Mother Earth? I know I haven’t been for most of my life, in fact right now I am doing the dirty and humiliating work of restoring my own relationship to Mother Earth. It’s dirty work. It sucks. How many of us are willing to do the work? Who is our Mother Earth?

Mother Earth

Is there not a temporal and** eternal side of this phenomenon? Mother. Earth. Is a Mother not a being? A living, breathing, self-contained, archetypal entity? Is the Earth not tangible? Visible? Ever-changing? Surely, when we look to the shores of the ocean, each day a new shore is made. Is the Earth not an ever-changing, temporal place of creation and destruction?

I think there is an eternal being or force in the meta and sub realms of what we call Earth. An invisible [Earth] being that gives life to the physical [Earth] being.

So if this is true that there is an eternal ‘being’ behind Earth, than why is humanity so concerned about digging up and desecrating more of the Earth in order to ‘save’ Earth? What I mean is, why do we think that digging up more raw Earth materials and shifting them around is going to ‘save’ Earth? If Earth is an eternal being than why are we concerned about its mortality? As if our physical devices and inventions of mortal man’s mind can save an eternal being. How silly, I think. And I think that if we are to ‘save’ Earth, it is our spiritual AND physical AND emotional relationship to Earth that ought to be restored, more-so than ‘saved’.

Is digging up the Earth and building massive solar, battery and electric vehicle factories cultivating a healthy relationship to Earth? Is our city sprawl, mega apartment complex facilities creating a healthy relationship to Earth? Let alone between ourselves as individuals? I think there’s a balance to be played here.

A balance we ought to seek and inform ourselves of. A balance of doing what we can with what we have. I get it. Our climate is changing… our consciousness climate is changing first and foremost… let’s lead from our connected hearts and minds… and take action from there. Let’s imagine a better future, yes, but let’s also use our hearts as a navigating force. Does massive solar fields, mega apartment complexes, carbon credit taxation, techno-dependence, contactless-payments, sanitized-everything, censored-shadow-banning internet, wear-a-mask or be extorted from society, drive-an- electric or be ridiculed, eat plants or contribute to climate-change by eating meat, feel good? Do these things actually make us FEEL GOOD?

I think feeling can be a good indicator for our daily actions, our inter-actions and the way in which we shape our collective reality… the issue and challenge of our time is that so many are without ANY feeling. We have become stripped and void of the power of our heart. Trained to be robotic and left-brained… a liquor store on every corner, voiding our emotional capacities… our heart capacities. The challenge of our time. To reconnect our hearts, minds and actions.

Not Everything Will Last

No, not everything will last. Not this post. Not the screen I am viewing to write this message, nor your screen you are using to view it. Nor our collective existence as we know it. Here today and gone tomorrow. Isn’t is a joy? Knowing the Truth? Knowing your Truth? I think it is. I think it’s a joy and a sorrow. I think it’s good and bad. I think it is the WHOLENESS of it all that makes it great. The yin and the yang. The good in** the bad and the bad in** the good. The Eternal Within.

Anthroposophy postulates the existence of an objective, intellectually comprehensible spiritual world, accessible to human experience. An anthroposophist thus being a student of Anthroposophia - ‘Anthroposophia,’ is not intended as a poetic image or abstract concept, but is shown to be an actual spiritual entity ’which brings to human beings of the twentieth century the new revelation of the heavenly Sophia, the divine wisdom. Yes, there is much to uncover upon my marking of this footnote pointing towards Anthroposophy.

How convenient to dismiss and hide the opposing invisible force of gravity… hiding an already invisible phenomenon… anti-gravity, we must go to the moon to find out how to save our planet from the conglomerate of massive black wholes that are out there to destroy humanity and the Earth as we know it forever! … as if this Earth is a permanent landscape, unchanging, eternal…
