Genial/Quaest Poll Shows Lula Leading 2026 Presidential Race
A new Genial/Quaest poll shows President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva leading the 2026 presidential race, with 40% of first-round voter intentions against 28% for Senator Flávio Bolsonaro. In a simulated second-round matchup, Lula defeats Bolsonaro 45% to 37%. The poll also showed Lula's government approval rating (48%) numerically surpassing his disapproval (47%) for the first time in a year.
