Bell 0.11.0: See which account is about to act

Bell 0.11.0 shows which of your Nostr accounts is about to act.

Bell 0.11.0 is for people who follow replies and quotes across several Nostr accounts and need to know which one is about to act. Each post now shows you before a reply, reaction or repost goes out.

Pick the sender on the post

A profile avatar now sits beside each post’s action group. It shows the account that will act. Tap it to open the sender-account picker and choose a different one. The selected account supplies Reply, React and Repost. Earlier versions kept this choice under More. It now sits next to the buttons it affects.

Reactions

Tapping React always opens the selected account’s favorites, with All emoji and editing available, even when that account has only one favorite. Favorites stay separate for each account. The tiny decorative sender badge is gone now that the avatar does its job.

Reposts

Repost appears on supported public posts, including replies and existing reposts. Bell first previews the verified original with its author, kind and text, plus the account that will send the repost, and asks you to confirm. Reposting a repost targets the original, which Bell resolves from cached or embedded data within set limits. If the original can’t be found, Bell marks it as unavailable and you can back out safely. Watch-only accounts and protected posts cannot publish reposts. Signing keys stay with Amber.

Other changes

Bulk selection hides individual post controls, including on hidden and muted rows, so selecting a batch of posts can’t turn into an accidental reply.

The store gallery has new screenshots of fictional Bell conversations, with notes describing each screen.

Bell keeps its pure-black compact interface, local drafts and history, and the same package and signing identity as earlier releases.
