GLP-1 dose logging and reconstitution arithmetic
Keeping an accurate dose log matters more than most people expect, because the useful
information is not any single injection but the pattern across weeks.
Reconstitution arithmetic
Concentration is simply total peptide divided by the volume of bacteriostatic water you add. A 5 mg
vial reconstituted with 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL. On a U-100 syringe each unit is 0.01 mL, so 10 units
draws 0.1 mL, which at 2.5 mg/mL is 250 mcg.
The arithmetic is easy to get wrong under time pressure, which is the main argument for writing it
down once and checking it against a calculator rather than redoing it each week. I use the

What is worth recording
- date and time of the injection
- the dose in mcg or mg, not in syringe units, because units only mean something alongside the
concentration - injection site, so rotation is visible over time
- the vial’s reconstitution date and concentration
- anything notable about tolerance that week
Recording the concentration alongside the dose is the single habit that prevents the most confusion
later, since a half-used vial reconstituted differently produces a completely different unit count for
the same dose.
