Geyser in 2025: Bitcoin in Action
We built Geyser because we believed better money could lead to more meaningful change.
From day one, we saw Bitcoin not just as something to save, but something to use. And year after year, Geyser has shown that Bitcoin can work as money, in the real world.
In 2025, Geyser users sent over 6 BTC toward:

Where the Sats flowed
Bitcoiners funded a wide range of projects, but one category stood out.
Causes received the largest share of funding (36%).
That tells a simple story: when people are in need, Bitcoiners show up.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate some of the projects that made 2025 special:
1. Bitcoiners care about causes that matter
The top 3 projects in 2025 were causes. This speaks to the power of bitcoin as a tool for doing good.
Bitcoin empowers us individually, which allows us to empower back others in need.
2. Education matters
Projects like BTC Isla are bringing Bitcoin education to a small island in Mexico.
The Rage is helping people understand financial freedom and what happens without it.
Education continues to be one of the strongest foundations for adoption.
3. Tools matter too
Two collectible card games (BTCcards and BitcoinCCG), a hardware device (Seed Hammer), and an OS-level project (Libre Relay) all made it onto the leaderboard.
These tools help Bitcoin move from theory into everyday use.
