WallAxe: Stick it everywhere!

Bitcoin mining is usually imagined as something loud and industrial, happening far away in warehouses most people will never see.
Over time, that image has become the default, even as smaller Bitaxe emerged into the scene.
Yet despite these advances, home mining always remained “home-bound.”
Something came to change it all.
WALLAXE. EVERYWHERE MINING.

When mining doesn’t fit the room
Devices like the Bitaxe have lowered the technical barrier to entry for Bitcoin mining. They are small, efficient, and accessible. But once powered on, they still need a place to live.
Desks get crowded quickly. Cables stretch across rooms. Floor placement feels temporary at best and risky at worst. In small apartments, hotel rooms, or shared spaces, even a compact miner can feel out of place.
The question that led to WallAxe was a simple one: why should a device this small still require dedicated space? And why should it remain so conspicuous?
A quieter way to participate
WallAxe is a conversion kit designed to turn a Bitaxe into a wall-plugged miner, similar in form factor to everyday electronics like Wi-Fi extenders or chargers.
Instead of competing for desk space, it occupies a place that already exists. Power comes directly from the wall. There are no loose cables, no additional surfaces, and no need to reorganize a room around a miner.
The goal isn’t to draw attention or make a statement. It’s to let mining fade into the background, where it can run continuously without becoming a daily consideration.

Built to be used, not showcased
WallAxe was designed with compatibility and ease of assembly in mind. It works with existing v40x and v60x Bitaxe models and does not require major modifications to operate.
Most components plug or screw into place. Optional steps, such as relocating the LCD screen, are only necessary for those who want an even more discreet setup. Power and thermal limits are kept within known boundaries, prioritizing stability over experimentation.
This is not a project aimed at hardware maximalists. It’s meant for people who want their miner to work reliably, without turning their living space into a workshop.
Why small miners still matter
Bitcoin’s resilience comes from participation. Not just from large operations, but from many independent actors running infrastructure wherever they can.
Small miners do not compete with industrial scale. They complement it. Each one represents a different location, a different operator, and a different context in which Bitcoin continues to function as an open system.
And mining in these diverse environments strengthens the distribution of the network.

How it started
WallAxe did not begin as a theoretical design exercise. The idea emerged during Bitcoin Tokyo 2024, when running Bitaxes in a small hotel room highlighted just how poorly even compact miners can integrate into tight spaces.
That experience shaped the project’s direction: wall-mounted instead of surface-bound, visually discreet instead of attention-seeking, and simple enough to assemble without specialized skills.
The result reflects use, not abstraction.
How it’s going
WallAxe launched an all-or-nothing crowdfunding campaign on Geyser.
This means the project only proceeds and raises the funds needed if the full funding goal is reached. If it isn’t, contributors automatically receive their sats back. There is no partial delivery and no gradual dilution of the original scope.
You can participate by purchasing either a self-assembly kit or a fully assembled unit, with pricing designed to reflect the cost of materials and assembly rather than speculative margins.
They already received 1M sats in less than a week, reaching 52% of the funding goal. ⚡️
If you believe that small, practical improvements make a real difference in how people participate in Bitcoin mining, this is a way to help move that work forward.
