ChromeOS to Linux on my ThinkPad! Fedora dreams, Ubuntu woes, finally Fedora bliss. Help with missing tools? Gnome or KDE next?
The African sun is warming things up here at Kilimanjaro, but there's still a crispness in the morning air. My fleece jacket came in handy after a refreshing shower!
I woke up in my dorm this morning to the sound of rain – a rarity in Africa, but a common occurrence here around Mount Kilimanjaro. The climate is much like a European summer, with comfortable temperatures ranging from 18 to 30 degrees Celsius.
Today wasn't super eventful, but there were a couple things I wanted to share. First off, I had to pay rent, which meant a trip to the bank with my still-not-great foot. On the bright side

Since the situation in Ukraine is on everyone's mind, I wanted to share some happier memories of Odessa.
A few days ago, I purchased a ticket in Kilifi bound for Taveta, with a connecting journey to Moshi. They informed me in Taveta that I'd need to buy the ticket to Moshi there. The sales office attendant assured me the Driver would guide me to the correct Matatu
Frozen dew on a nettle leaf. This photo was taken with my old Minolta Dynax 5 in November 2009, when the first frost arrived.
Nestled within Moldova's captivating capital, Chisinau, lies a charming square adorned with a prominent belltower and an enchanting church. The photograph captures a tranquil bench amidst the cold, snowy ambiance of this picturesque square. Having traversed Moldova thrice, I have come to cherish the unique beauty this nation offers. Despite its financial struggles, often described by travelers as disheartening, I found Moldova to possess a distinctive allure.
Getting here was a breeze; I hopped on a TukTuk and only paid 150 Kes this time, a significant improvement from the 300 Kes I shelled out previously. It's safe to say that today's price felt more reasonable. I'm hoping for a productive day in this exquisite location.
