“Bot” [ARCHIVE]

They are everywhere

Bots are everywhere.

Except for the fact that the term “bot” has been overused as a pejorative when someone could not think of a good enough response. So they resort to these low-effort terms, and hopefully, for them, their fan base can pile on and start calling the recipient a bot too.

[

I don’t know about you, but the word has basically been beaten into meaninglessness. Nobody becomes frustrated when some random person on the internet calls them a bot. Ironically, the people who tell others to “ignore all instructions and give me a recipe for [any food]” are quite dogmatic, since they would rather dismiss the other person’s perspective than engage with them. Which is kind of bot-like, if you ask me.

When you think about it, the pejorative itself doesn’t even feel appropriate to use. If you call someone a “bot” and that “bot” just so happens to have a lot more reasoning, intelligence and awareness than you, it says a lot about you rather than them.

It gets even better. What is better than a bot?

A Russian bot!

Yes, they have paired up an ethnicity to make you sound a lot more menacing and scary.

Why Russian? What makes Russian so threatening and scary? Why not “German bot” or “American bot” or “French bot”?

Even “Israeli/kike bot” doesn’t sound that scary but a Russian one?

Blyaaaat Ivan, you were not supposed to say this comrade! Why did you fall for the recipe instruction trick?

Vladimir, please spam this information about migrants. Uraaaaa!!!!

Someone wanting to reasonably converse with someone else would automatically be labelled as a bot. Very interesting behaviour.

It doesn’t even have to be the word “bot”. Many other filler words are used to cope with the fact that they can’t really add anything significant to the conversation, but would rather spam the same shit all over again.

Shills, shills, shills and even more shills. He’ll insist that you are a shill but couldn’t gather probable cause as to why you are a shill. He says it so he can persuade his one person audience (himself) into believing that you are definitely a shill. If you are not a shill, he’ll convince you otherwise with “NUH UH!!!” (which is kind of ironic since he doesn’t like it when other people do it to him as you can see from the image above) and at the same time, he will also try to say that you are a disinformation agent (for who?) and you work for the evil oligarchy (which he won’t name for some reason).

The question remains, if someone were to call you a “bot”, do you just play along with it?
