Nicifor Dučić's Order
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the decision by the Serbian government and Prince Milan Obrenović to go to war against the Ottoman Empire for the liberation of the southern Serbian territories, which were the core of the old medieval Serbian state. This was the First Serbian-Turkish War, which began in 1876. The decision was made to form four military units towards Turkey: the Morava towards Niš, the Ibar towards Sjenica and Novi Pazar, the Timok towards Vidin, and the Drina towards Bosnia.
