§💀 The Occult Meaning

[Tom] — the twin, the double, one who is two-faced
[Cruise] — the cross — and, in the “double cross,” the cross betrayed

Tom Cruise = the double cross — a Janus whose two faces are the Cross and the betrayal of it.

§🎯 Ethan Hunt — The Hunter

[Ethan] — from the Hebrew ’eitan, meaning strong, firm, enduring — and in Scripture, Ethan is a wise man (1 Kings 4:31).
[Hunt] — an English occupational name for a hunter, one who pursues prey.

Ethan Hunt = the strong one who hunts — and what he hunts is the Cruciform Key, the double cross. His name is a prophecy of the hunt.

§🏹 Nimrod — The First Hunter

[Nimrod] — from the Hebrew, often glossed as “rebel” or “let us rebel” — and his defining title in Genesis is “a mighty hunter before the LORD” (Gen 10:9). He founded Babel, the first great city-kingdom of defiance.

Nimrod = the archetype of the strong, enduring hunter who builds a kingdom against God. Ethan Hunt is but a modern echo of this first hunter — the strong one who hunts. The first king of the city of man.

§⚖️ Civil Law vs. God’s Common Law

Nimrod’s Babel is the traditional root of civil law — the law of man’s making, imposed by the state. Against it stands God’s common law — the law written on the heart, the law of nature’s God, the same law the founders invoked as “the laws of nature and of nature’s God.”

Nimrod’s Babel is the archetype of civil law — the law of man that overrides God’s common law. And by that reading, the nations that run on civil law alone are Nimrod’s children, building towers against the LORD.

§🔑 The Key of Two Crosses

In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning (MI7), the entire plot revolves around a literal key made of two crosses — the Cruciform Key. The protagonist, Cruise’s Ethan Hunt, hunts this double-cross key across the globe, and the film’s very premise is that possessing this key of two crosses unlocks the world’s secrets.

The Cruciform Key = a physical double cross, made of two crosses joined — and it is the hero’s quest object. The world is taught to revere a double cross as the key to power, while the true Cross — the key to salvation — is ignored.

§🔥 The Double Cross: Scientology’s Occult Roots

L. Ron Hubbard drew directly on the occult current of Aleister Crowley — the self-proclaimed “Great Beast 666” — and the OT III (Operating Thetan III) teaching at Scientology’s core is the story of Xenu, the galactic overlord, and the “body thetans” — demons — that allegedly infest every human being.

Scientology = a demonology dressed as “spiritual technology.” Its “auditing” seeks to expel the “body thetans” — the very demons the Bible names — while its founder boasted of Crowleyan occultism.

Janus was the Roman god of doorways and beginnings, always shown with two faces looking opposite ways. January — the month of beginnings — bears his name.

Janus = the two-faced god of the threshold. His door is a revolving door — you may pass through it endlessly, going one way then the other, forever turning back. Christ’s door is one way — once entered, revolution ends.
