I watched this because I saw it was literally the highest rated thing on MAL at the time. That rating is absolutely retarded. This shit is completely average cliche slop.

The world building is a zero. While it’s a large world, it’s a completely standard isekai world. There isn’t a single thing that deviates from the blueprint. It’s to the point that if this was a spinoff of Mushoku Tensei, there wouldn’t be a single detail that doesn’t line up. This is just one of the long list of animes that are based off a further focus on just one of the themes of Mushoku Tensei, and its not even good at that.

The anime is primarily about a 1000+ year old elf coming to appreciate the significance of the relatively short lives around her. That being said, it doesn’t actually do anything with this. There are a million scenes alluding to it, but it’s not actually taken anywhere and used to further a point.

The rest of the anime is just shitty knockoffs of other anime’s and bad at all of it. But the worst glaring problem with it is that it’s written by a woman. This is a striking issue in every episode where the author writes scenes in ways that are supposed to illicit reactions that only women would. I’ll give examples in the spoiler section, but it’s bad. The whole thing is comfort food that will never even spike your cortisol, you won’t give a shit as a dude, but it’s the type of shit women would start drama over.

Overall, unoriginal, uninspired, garbage that no man with balls would enjoy. The only thing I found original about this was the opening song which is in modern jpop style instead of the singy shit in every other opener. I didn’t actually like it, but it does get points for originality there.
