No Game No Life Review

This anime is a very “anime” anime and it’s very shit in terms of viewing experience. It’s a very passive viewing experience where you can’t really predict or plan out anything that will happen. You just sit back and admire the mental gymnastics that the author is displaying in the process of telling this mid story. Everything is hyperbole, so don’t expect plausibility or realism even in the ridiculous scenarios you see.

The protagonists are the most shut in NEETs ever who are the best at every video game in the world. Don’t try to figure out ahead of time how they will win their current impossible game, just accept that they will, because that’s their character design. They don’t lose. The writer will pull out some 100000000IQ play out his ass that will make them win and you find out they always were in control and the opponent didn’t stand a chance. Just turn your brain off and accept the narrative you are viewing.

Every episode is this. Its only 12 eps but it gets repetitive real quick. There is no story, there is no character development, the MC is a horndog who always gets cockblocked because that’s also part of his character profile. Just accept it. He just builds out his harem of naked bitches that never goes anywhere.

Its just boring and repetitive, utterly uncompelling slop that you turn your brain off and watch.
