Offline Guided Meditation 0.15.0

Offline Guided Meditation 0.15.0 adds two things: an optional Psalm 131 prayer and a Choose for me button for Stoic reflections. The app still works offline on Android.

Psalm 131 prayer

If you want an explicitly Christian practice, you can now choose a Psalm 131 prayer. It uses the complete text of the psalm from the World English Bible (updated edition), including the superscription and all three verses. The psalm is read aloud, and then a period of intentional quiet follows. You can choose five or ten minutes.

The psalm is read by the offline English voice installed on your device. It is not a new recording by Nicole, so it will sound different from the app’s recorded guidance.

The prayer is only used when you choose it. Ordinary suggestions stay secular, and the app never picks the prayer for you.

Choose for me

The Natural breath with Stoic reflections setup now has a Choose for me button for 15- and 20-minute bases. It picks three different eligible reflections, each complete: one for the beginning, one for the middle and one for the end.

You can still pick reflections yourself. Either way, you confirm the duration policy and use Check reflections before saving. After you save, the selected texts stay fixed. When you reopen or play the session, you get the same three reflections.

The ordinary session is still available as before.

The quiet after the psalm is there on purpose. It is part of the practice.
