Offline Guided Meditation 0.17.0: Grouped Explore, Configure for custom sessions and new breathing lessons
Offline Guided Meditation 0.17.0 makes practices easier to find and adjust and adds three breathing lessons. The app stays offline, with no tracking.
In Explore, stock techniques now sit in six expandable groups: Breath, Body and movement, Listening and seeing, Awareness, Rest and kindness, and Contemplation. Search, the optional sky view and Settings are compact icons in the top bar. On Today, a book icon opens the course chooser, the repeated next-session heading is gone and the timer entry is smaller. Play, details and suggest-another use labelled icons.
Use Configure to adjust a practice or paced protocol. Choose Compose custom session to open an editor with your chosen practice, quiet timer, paced protocol or checked reflections. Set the timing and combine complete guidance, contemplations and breathing blocks. A natural-breath base can run with reflections off, and three chosen reflections bring their exact sources and duration settings. Tap Save to keep the arrangement.
Supported recorded sessions can start while later guidance is still loading. If your meditation paused a podcast or music, the app no longer lets that player restart during the silent gaps between spoken guidance or when you end the session. Resume it yourself when you are ready.
Feeling the Natural Breath at the Nostrils (10 minutes) explains ordinary nasal sensations. A 10-minute lesson on counting each outbreath teaches one count per natural exhale, with no timed phases. An 8-minute lesson explains how natural, counting, two-phase paced, box, retention and Wim Hof breathing differ while you keep to ordinary comfortable breathing.
