New York Gov. Kathy Hochul Dons Hijab While Speaking to Group of Muslim Men (VIDEO)

New York Governor Kathy Hochul was observed wearing a hijab while speaking to a predominantly male Muslim audience in New York City. The governor had previously worn a headscarf in July 2025 to honor a deceased Muslim NYPD officer, stating it was an act of respect. Hochul has also acknowledged World Hijab Day, characterizing women who wear the hijab as feminist advocates.
