SOUTHCOM Removes Drug Traffickers Involved with Violent Narco-Terrorist Organization, Destroys Floating Refueling Station in Eastern Pacific (VIDEO)

US Southern Command’s Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere successfully interdicted a floating refueling station used for illicit drug-trafficking operations in the Eastern Pacific. Individuals associated with the Los Choneros narco-terrorist organization were removed from the vessel and handed over to Ecuadorian authorities. Following the removal of the crew, U.S. forces sank the refueling station, marking the second such operation in recent days.
